Somebody was. Because you can't get the number of individual investors together in the space of 3 hours that it would have taken to sell off 5.5 billion dollars in mutual fund assets on 9/18/08.

PBS ran a documentary on hedge funds the other night and accidently outed Soros (the Father of Hedge Funds) as the power behind the economy's collapse.

His blank check to Arianna Huffington to establish her web site and the backing of Media Matters, etc. to undermine George Bush and all Republicans, was just the beginning. This satanic, little troll is bankrolling the downfall of our country.

This is un-frickin-believable. The financial crisis was deliberate, planned, staged. Who made the run? “Someone threw us in the middle of the Atlantic ocean without a life raft. Ok I have been doing a little research and I posted some other articles one was The Chance for a New World Order I found in the Herald Tribune written by Henry Kissinger so I started looking at connections between Kissinger and Soros and oh man what I found! Not only those two but connections to Clinton, etc. check these out what do you think?

Does anyone doubt that Soros, a few others like him, the islamic imperialist cabal, and the underground marxist resurgence would hesitate to use their vast wealth to get a fellow traveler elected president, in order to promote their globalist agenda? Does anyone doubt for an instant that there are people in this world utterly terrified at the notion of American hegemony? As one-sided as the world became after the fall of the Soviet Union, some other force was needed to counterbalance the US. I believe that’s what’s behind all of this.

When the Reserve money market funds broke the buck, it freaked out the Chinese and other foreigners, who quite rationally rang their brokers and said "Get me the f- out of US assets!"

Sor0s is deeply evil, and he is no doubt opportunistically exploiting the calamity, but there's a reasonable explanation of the run that doesn't implicate him.

That's a really good question I've been asking since I first saw this story break. If true, Soros has done the equivalent of declaring war on the US and should be treated as an an enemy.

What he did to the British Pound years ago was not a business move, it was an act of malice.

Wonder why Soros would do this....because he not only funded Obama....but has contributed to John McCain in the past.

McCain’s Reform Institute was a recipient of over 100K of Soros money...with Rick Davis (Campaign mgr) and others on the Reform payroll.
