Maybe you could help me out this — it seems like the birthers insist that at least one of the 70 or so people who would have been involved in Obama’s birth if he were born in Hawaii (I have no idea where the 70ish number comes from — there were only two people besides me involved in my son’s birth) but one of these people should have remembered Obama’s birth for some reason.

I would think that there must be someone who would remember a pale white girl who had just given birth bribing officials and sneaking a newborn infant onto a plane in Kenya, don’t you think? Why isn’t Ed Hale, or Berg, tracking down a witness to the airline flight?

You forgot the part about Mama Obama bribing officials in both Kenya and the US to let her bring an undocumented newborn infant with her.

However, let's say for argument's sake, that Ann was able to get a "undocumented newborn" out of lax 1961 Africa and to the US border.

When she arrived in the US with such a baby, would Customs have told her to get back on the plane with a newborn and fly back to Africa (or England, where the plane probably connected through) to get the documentation?

This is an interesting thread and I appreciate your arguments. However, I believe all of those would have either been ignorant of any evidence or didn't care to follow-up on a sitting senator running for president.

The secretary of state in Cal said it wasn't her job, it was the party's job. It's obvious the supreme court does not want an evidentiary hearing.

The congress did nothing and neither did the electoral college.

So, who do you suppose looked at his proof of qualifications. My conclusion, no one.

This is the first president in my lifetime who does not have his hometown standing up and identifying his birthplace, home site and such. Where are the photographers and the people putting up plaques? This is the normal reaction to having a local native become president.

He is acting guilty with his refusal to ok the opening of passport, school, and birth files. Until he does that he has not proven he is naturally born. And as far as I know, no one in an official capacity has even asked the question.

Lastly, when Bill Richardson said on camera, that Obama is an immigrant, that was very telling to me.

Examples:
The 1890s Chicago City Council was notorious for corrupt political practices orchestrated by a faction of its aldermen known as the Gray Wolves. So named because they were viewed as preying upon the defenseless public, the Gray Wolves were led by First Ward aldermen “Bathhouse” John Coughlin and “Hinky Dink” Mike Kenna, and Johnny Powers of the Nineteenth Ward. These elected officials were not only skilled at trading votes for favors, but once in office they excelled in making municipal decisions to profit themselves financially.

In the 1980s
Operation Gambit involved bugging the table that Pat Marcy and John D’Arco, the powers in the First Ward (the Outfit’s guys) sat at to plan the corruption necessary for the Outfit to continue to loot the Region. This destroyed the power of the First Ward from which the city had been ruled since the days of Hinky Dink, Bathhouse John and the Grey Wolves.
It was called OPERATION GREYLORD, named after the curly wigs worn by British judges. And in the end — through undercover operations that used honest and very courageous judges and lawyers posing as crooked ones... and with the strong assistance of the Cook County court and local police — 92 officials had been indicted, including 17 judges, 48 lawyers, 8 policemen, 10 deputy sheriffs, 8 court officials, and 1 state legislator. Nearly all were convicted, most of them pleading guilty (just a few are shown in our photo). It was an important first step to cleaning up the administration of justice in Cook County.

That's really the whole point. Abuse of the public trust cannot and must not be tolerated. Corrupt practices in government strike at the heart of social order and justice. And that's why the FBI has the ticket on investigations of public corruption as a top priority.

How’d that happen? Historically, of course, these cases were considered local matters. A county court clerk taking bribes? Let the county handle it.

But in the 1970s, state and local officials asked for help. They didn't have the resources to handle such intense cases, and they valued the authority and credibility that outside investigators brought to the table. By 1976, the Department of Justice had created a Public Integrity Section, and the FBI was tasked with the investigations, focusing on major, systemic corruption in the body politic.

Who's investigated? Public servants: members of Congress and state legislatures; members of the Administration and governors’ offices; judges and court staffs; all of law enforcement; all government agencies. Plus everyone who works with government and is willing to pay for “special favors”: lobbyists, contractors, consultants, lawyers, U.S. businesses in foreign countries, you name it.

What kind of crimes? Bribery, kickbacks, and fraud. Vote buying, voter intimidation, impersonation. Political coercion. Racketeering and obstruction of justice. Trafficking of illegal drugs.

When and if the Republic of Togo grants us all citizenship, than that grant can be judicially examined for it’s applicability to the NBC requirement for all US citizens. We can be pretty sure as to the result of such a court ruling.

But not even Obama is disputing the validity of his birthright Brit citizenship. Since that citizenship obtained thru his father, (not by a whimsical grant from a foreign nation)and is most likely a legal fact, than that fact should be adjudicated with consideration to his natural born citizenship.

Oh someone earlier on the thread was conjecturing, or speculating, or guessing, that the way Obama’s mother got him out of Kenya was by bribing someone.

I don’t know what US Customs would have told her if she arrived here with a newborn baby without the proper documentation, but I can’t imagine why he would have told her to go to England. What could she have accomplished by going to England? I’ve had connecting flights before, but I’ve usually just gotten something to eat there, not applied for a passport.

Why is it an absurd argument? In both cases you're giving a foreign law control over US citizenship status.

It's the same thing with the "no dual citizenship in Indonesia" argument. US law doesn't pay any attention to what foreign citizenship laws are.
