The difference is that John Ford never let his political beliefs enter into the films themselves.
In most of Woody Allen’s movies, he goes out of his way to denigrate Republicans, Conservatives, or anyone living in fly-over country.
Then there’s “Apollo 13”. Ol’ Opie threw in the little tiff between NASA and Grumman “for artistic purposes”. ‘Nuff said.

Yes, The Incredibles belongs on any good conservative movie list that covers its release period.

Allen doesn't know much at all outside of his limited Upper East Side milieu and most of his films are set there. The moral issues at play in ‘Crimes and Misdemeanors’ are beautifully laid out.

Great flick and highly underrated. I thoroughly enjoyed Mel’s performance.

Death Wish with Charles Bronson, always enjoy seeing it!

A
dreadful motion picture.
The only redeeming aspect was the Robert DuVall character who was considered a criminal because he went around making things work while the union workers let them languish.

Nothing conservative about being anti-science and equating biologists to Nazis.

And there is nothing conservative about NOT allowing debate.
And it was DARWINist Nazis’ that thought exterminating a race was a good idea. You know, evolve the human race by getting rid of the “bad” gene pool and all.

Science class is not debate class, neither is it pseudo theological philosophy class. I.D. isn't science and doesn't belong in science class.
Hitler and the Nazi's gave several justifications for their genocide against Jews, and “avenging my savior's blood upon the cross” was one of them.
Do you find Christianity culpable in Hitler's delusions to a similar extent that you seem to find science culpable?

Science class is not debate class,...
Oh really?
So, as I understand you, the flat worlders were right to shut down debate because they were the “consensus” opinion of the day. Since science is not a debate class, you know.
The question of Hitler is in another direction entirely. The assertion that Darwin’s ideas were used to justify genocide is in the historical record.
So, do you think that Planned Parenthood, a descendant of the eugenic philosophy here in the states, is not continuing that evil of unjustified death of innocents?

Do you think that helocentricism vs geocentricism was hashed out in science class at the high school level?
Moreover Geocentricism, as idiotic as it is, has it all over I.D. in terms of a scientific hypothesis; in that it makes direct and testable claims that would allow for predictions and replicable science.

Thanks for the list. I imagine it must be more like 35 years old now - but I would fudge a little and add “Jerimiah Johnson” to my personal list.
