Jindal Says Republicans Can Only Blame Themselves for Loss

SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Saturday that the Republicans only had themselves to blame for losing control of Congress and the White House.

"The country fired us from our congressional majority in 2006. Why? The country didn't stop being conservative. The Republican Party did," Jindal told a gathering of Arkansas Republicans. "We became what we came to Washington to change -- the party of earmarks and government spending. The party needs to stop worrying about what to do to fix itself. Let's worry more about fixing our country. Then the party will fix itself."

He's correct on one thing, I'm conservative, not Republican.

The Republicans have become liberals and socialists.

I didn't give a dime until the day Sarah accepted McCain's offer.

Yep. There are millions and millions of folks in this country who would get behind true conservative leadership, including the so-called "Reagan Democrats". Obamalamadingdong doesn't know it yet, but he and his administration are going to be the single greatest catalyst for the revival of the conservative movement in the USA. Jindal and Palin are but two examples of this growing phenomenon.....

It explains the campaign donations (or lack thereof), too. McCain just wasn't pulling in any money until Palin was added to the ticket. I didn't give a dime until the day Sarah accepted McCain's offer.

I STILL cannot understand how Hussein was able to outspend McCain by over 4 to 1.

I know that McCain agreed to limit himself financially,,,,but my question is,,,

WHY???

Jindal strikes me as being more than competent enough to walk and chew gum at the same time.

He is already proving he’s the most effective governor Louisiana has seen in many decades.

He can not run because he is not a Natural Born Citizen,

Bobby was born in Red Stick, Louisiana and has a BC to prove it.

While he was at it, he should mention some of them by name so America would wake up.

He can not run because he is not a Natural Born Citizen, oh forgot that’s not necessary anymore. Yes Jindal in ‘12!

Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, LA. Granted, having spent a lot of time in Louisiana I've often thought it was a different country in certain areas, but it is indeed part of the USA and that makes Jindal a "natural born" American.

Ummm...check your facts before you spout ignorance.

Jindal was born in Baton Rouge. He’s a natural born U.S. Citizen.

He is sounding more and more presidential, but he needs to do a good job in Louisiana first.

“The country didn’t stop being conservative. The Republican Party did”

He’s starting to sound an awful lot like Reagan. I was a Sarah fan...but I think I’m shifting.

Yeah, a traditionally conservative district.

The locals are already whining about democrat rep Shauer already. He promised to bring home lots of pork and it looks like we get very little “stimulating”.

“I know that McCain agreed to limit himself financially,,,,but my question is,,,”

That’s easy...because he figured he could win without the base (i.e., pull in all of those phantom moderates). Without the base...no money. He had to go on welfare.

It still boggles my mind that the Republican Party couldn't even raise 1/4 of the money that the Democrats raised.

That, in itself, is an indictment of how far to the 'left' the American electorate has moved.

It shouldn’t. If you have a candidate at the top of the ticket that’s made a career out of attacking Republicans and what they stand for, it kinda demoralizes the masses.

Put Sarah or Bobby on the top and watch what happens to fund raising.

Bobby Jindal is 100 percent right! I’m more and more impressed with the man with each passing day. He gets it, that’s why! Run, Bobby, Run! Jindal 2012! It’s time that we, the Republicans, have our own historical election — the first Indian-American President of the United States of America. Go Bobby!
