Bipartisan Deal Eases Way For Stimulus Bill in Senate Compromise Sets Up Tough Negotiations With House

Against a backdrop of rising unemployment, Senate Democrats struck a hard-won deal yesterday with a handful of Republican moderates to scale back spending in a massive economic stimulus bill, virtually guaranteeing Senate passage of the legislation but also ensuring arduous final negotiations with the House.
The compromise represented a dramatic finale to a tumultuous and frustrating week for Democrats pushing the package, as Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) saw the limitations of an expanded majority and a band of GOP centrists came to appreciate the very high price they can extract for their votes on key measures.
The bipartisan deal was cut after two days of talks and would cut more than $100 billion from the $920 billion bill, dropping its cost to about $820 billion, if amendments added on the Senate floor are retained.

Handful of Republicans......
We need to get on the blue dogs this weekened and full attack on Monday to RINOs.

I’m getting tired of hearing RINOs termed “moderates”. I get the implication, and I’m sick of it.
Now, for all the people who keep saying “but two or three R votes don’t make it bipartisan, it doesn’t matter what they call it, it’s not”-will you please read all the press coverage doing just that-calling it “bipartisan” on the basis of a “handful” of traitor rino votes? Especially with the media wing of the rat party, “perception is reality”-this will be labeled “bipartisan” no matter what the truth is, the sheeple will believe what they read/hear, and the rats get to snicker up their sleeves at the “joke” on us.
= 3
Anyone know another free fax service? Faxzero has two faxes per day.
Can someone here write a program with all the Blue Dogs names and fax numbers?
I’m one of the (gasp) people you referred to.
Does anyone know who is on the committees that will negotiate between the Senate and the House version of the bill?
Anyone who votes for this is not a moderate...they are a leftist..period.
The blue dogs aren’t as fond of tax cuts (which are good for the economy) as we are, but if we could get them to point out the folly of spending, we could at least get them to shoot down the Democrats’ “stimulus” plan.
I didn’t remember specific posters, I just remember reading the sentiment a few times. But the media is doing just that, calling it “bipartisan”, likely as not at the direction of their rat overlords. It doesn’t even really matter, I believe the rats are petty enough to do it just to get our goat. But they can also use it in soundbites and when screaming over “polite” Republican spokespeople on TV “news” shows, to share the blame.
Thanks. Anyone have a list of the Blue Dogs?
We need to stop this and hand Obama a big defeat.
