It looks to me that both the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Pirates entered the NFL in 1933 as separate teams. During WWII one year, they were the “Steagles.”
Another year Pittsburgh and the Cardinals (I think they were in Chicago at the time) were the “Pitt-Cards.”

It certainly was a great Super Bowl.
That is why we all watch.
Typically waiting for such an event such as we just witnessed. Especially when we do not even have a dog in the hunt.
I think.
It was a great game.
Cardinals became instant underdogs when they deferred offense after winning the coin toss. Vegas be damned.

Kurt Warner earned the MVP, if not for that game winning catch by Santonio Holmes.
Regardless of the final score, Warner has earned my undying respect. What a class act!
