Transportation officials in Texas are scrambling to prevent hackers from changing messages on digital road signs after one sign in Austin was altered to read, "Zombies Ahead."
Chris Lippincott, director of media relations for the Texas Department of Transportation, confirmed that a portable traffic sign at Lamar Boulevard and West 15th Street, near the University of Texas at Austin, was hacked into during the early hours of Jan. 19.
"It was clever, kind of cute, but not what it was intended for," said Lippincott, who saw the sign during his morning commute. "Those signs are deployed for a reason to improve traffic conditions, let folks know there's a road closure."
"It's sort of amusing, but not at all helpful," he told FOXNews.com.

" I See a Man Sitting on a Chair and the Chair is Biting His Leg " I know I've read "Brillo". I think someone said it was a pre-cursor of "Robo-cop".

Nope. But we're getting there.
The bill is analyzed and the letter against written - an easy job because the bill was similar to one that died last year, though they managed to add a new issue for me to swing at. 99 customized PDF letters are produced, and the 25 going to state House leaders, bill authors and sponsors, and our state reps already e-mailed. (Signed paper copies will be hand-delivered Monday.)
It's bad because this one was almost out of the House, but good because at this stage and time they don't have time to amend it. It either has to be passed out as-is or it dies -- and I found an unconstitutionally vague element in it.
After lunch I'll e-mail the rest of the letters, then return to oversee the move.

I envy you the ability to understand and deal with political issues. These days, I’m happy if I can write a letter to my son that makes sense for more than two paragraphs!!
We need more sionnsars in this country!

"We need more sionnsars in this country!" Ye gods! The cacophony that would produce!
Almost as bad as what we already have.

I'm sure I corrected that....
Hibernation.
Maybe I was thinking of Ain Rand, which she spelled Ayn Rand.
My R is sticking too.
How do you take the keys off a lap top to clean under them?

"How do you take the keys off a lap top to clean under them?" Plug in an external keyboard and use that. That's how I do it.

How do you take the keys off a lap top to clean under them? I pry them off with an ax.
Haven't figured out how to get them back on, though...
