Rush just said that Obama isn't afraid of him. With one signature, Obama could spell the end to this show. This has to be why he and others will not question the Birth Certificate issue.

You should have finished reading the paragraph, I think.

I do not want - but have to - throw cold water on this "BC" issue.

I believe we should shelve it until about July of 2012...then hit it with full force. Do lots and lots and lots of research on the BC issue until then...make sure our facts are absolutely beyond reproach and absolutely rock solid. Then, in July of 2012, take the bum out!

Why?? Why do we have to wait so long???

Take a look at who would wind up in the oval office! There's a "vp" out in the hall, drooling out the side of his mouth, hair plugs dying by the dozen, pee stains on the front of his pants, unshined shoes, a big mouth, unable to hold a cogent thought for more than 17 seconds. And this is what you would want in the oval office instead of obammer???

And if not that idiot, behind him slouches the bug eyed, fanatical, liberal, victim, lunatic pelosee!

Egads! We need to keep obammer where he is...at least until mid-year 2012....then derail him and send him back to Syria/Saudia Arabia, Iran...one of his many homelands, where he belongs!

"I assume Plan B would be satellite radio"

What good will that be now that obambi has stated that the U.S. will not weaponize space and, therefore, how long would our satellite-radio vehicles last in any time of crisis.

IAC, probably, obambi could have NSA disrupt the operations of any "hate-speech" satellites for "national security" reasons.

Is Rush going to go for it?

No sign that I know of, so far.

Thanks for the link it goes into detail. Many knuckleheads here think that having multiple allegiance to different countries still equates being a natural born citizenship.

Anyone not wanting the president to only honor the country he governs is just nuts, especially citizens of that country.

It says ‘parents naturalized’ right in the first sentences of Perkins v Elg, yet you assume the opposite.

Yes, but the ruling states that only the father was naturalized prior to his daughter's birth. However, it does not say that her mother was naturalized prior to the time of her daughter's birth.

Miss Elg was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 2, 1907. Her parents, who were natives of Sweden, emigrated to the United States sometime prior to 1906 and her father was naturalized here in that year.

The court below, properly recognizing the existence of an actual controversy with the defendants [307 U.S. 325, 350] (Aetna Life Ins. Co. v. Haworth, 300 U.S. 227 , 57 S.Ct. 461, 108 A.L.R. 1000), declared Miss Elg 'to be a natural born citizen of the United States' (99 F.2d 414)

There has been refutation of the travel ban to Pakistand at that time, I don’t have any links/sources, but from what I’ve read it was possible to travel there, but not that easy. Hopefully someone who knows exactly will jump in.

That's something I can probably cite in a bit, thanks. It certainly would be interesting to know under what nationality he traveled before becoming a Senator. I suppose that’s why the breakins. If there was nothing to hide and scrub, why would they have bothered. What was found? What was changed?

That is one of the big questions (one that I don't think Globe mentioned, BTW).

It simply upholds a lower ruling that she was a citizen and that lower court happened to use that phrase.

Just "happened to use that phrase?"

LoL!

So, it is your view that North Korea could bestow citizenship on the next president and at that moment, he would then be ineligible to serve as President of the United States?

Well, that would indeed make International Brinkmanship very interesting.

If there is any good reason not to pursue 0bama’s ineligibility, yours is not it.

Trashing the Constitution is a worthy cause, even if it means Biden should become president. Which is not a sure thing anyway. 0bama is not a garden variety liberal, anyway, as is Biden. He’s far, far worse. Trashing the Constitution is his game, he’s already said it’s flawed and needs changing. He hopes to change it, and by skirting the eligibility he’s doing so already, in a sense. Spitting on it, at least.

By letting this drop and “trying to elect a conservative in 2012” we will be fighting against more money given to idiots, ACORN, illegals, more immigrants voting Dem, more voter fraud, the MSM even more in the kneepad division.

“Elg who was born in the United States of Swedish parents then naturalized here”

That’s plural, and mentioning only the father later does not discount the implied derivative citizenship, given both the law at the time, and the first sentence...

No, not in the open where his background is known and that it can be easily verified. A Manchurian candidate. Obama has demonstrated a way to do it. He's the template. Ingratiate the liberal press. Hide every record of consequence that may prove otherwise. Become a politician in the party who has weak support in laws or the national defense. Under the right circumstances, as we have seen, it can be done.

American citizenship cannot be attained solely through marriage.

"Maybe I am asking you the wrong questions. Maybe the question to you should be, what affront to our Constitution would it take for you to exhibit some backbone and stand up for it (our Constitution)?"

You are asking the wrong question..at least here. (I'm not referring to LibbyLu here in this response.)

The question you asked is too easy, since it has already been answered over the past 45 years. (Answer: None)

IMHO, the real question should be:
"Why haven't the citizenry been affronted by what has been done to our Constitution and why didn't they exhibit some backbone and stand up for it (our Constitution)?"

The scale of issues-of-tyrrany (IOT) that caused the Founders to revolt against the crown are infinitely more trivial than the IOT that have been shoved down the throats of the American people since 1916.

It was undisputed that Elg was born in Brooklyn, NY.

That is a key fact in that case.

The place of birth of The Fraud is in dispute in the cases filed against him.

Elg is not stare decisis in the Odumbo cases.

Okay, so if Obama was born in Hawaii, you would agree that he is a natural born citizen and thus eligible to serve as President of the United States?

American citizenship cannot be attained solely through marriage.

That's probably not the case over 100 years ago. As I remember, husbands bestowed citizenship through marriage just like their last names. All world cultures and societies were patriarchal, and to the most extend, still are today.

That's probably not the case over 100 years ago.

I am not all that sure that courtroom judges like to hear the word "Probably" when hearing a case.

Pekins v. Elg was in 1939 and not 100 years ago.
