Usually, when our high school team plays the two private schools that service special needs populations, the starters play the first and fourth quarters, the coach uses these games to try new strategies and get his bench some playing time as well. There is no shot clock in basketball either, so the coach usually does not press, nor does he rush up the floor. He doesn’t stall, but he doesn’t play the fast break style basketball for these games either, if he is up by 15. Again, that is what our coach does, no specific rules or guidelines, but I think it is pretty good sportsmanship.
It is my understanding this coach was pushing his team to score 100 points; he wanted the 100 mark.
We don’t have a “mercy” rule here in Kentucky I don’t know about other states. My point of reference is also coming from a “boys” basketball, too, so “girls” basketball may have different rules; I don’t really know.

Just returned from dropping our son off at work ... saw Kinky Friedman driving an extended cab, gas guzzling Chevy pick-up. Waved ... he waved back ... smokin’ a big ole stogey as usual. Got back here and a house two blocks over exploded and is on fire. Good times in Kerrville ;o)
The Fox News Channel probably has high ratings because the majority of Americans know that CNN, CNN Headline News, and MSNBC are liberal. The liberal viewership splits, among those three, and almost all of the conservatives watch FNC.

The biggest factor for your boys is this. Since Edge won’t be able to run the football very well and forces Arizona to go to the air, can Kurt Warner stay upright enough to make plays?
Remember this AG, Kurt will see blitz packages and as agressive a secondary he has seen in a long time. So can Kurt adjust with the quick, short passes that will keep him upright? Larry and Anquain thrive with the long bombs, now you have to rely on them to adjust and see if Breston and Urban can ba the go to guys in the quick hits game.
The Stillers present multiple headaches for your boys. The defense is second to none and everybody knows it. Willie Parker is healthy and up to his old tricks again. A big problem is a less than 100% Hines Ward. If Ben has to rely on Santonio to bail him out, Nate Washington and Heath Miller better step in and give Ben other options. A healthy Hines puts your secondary in deep doo-doo.......
What happens?? I figure the Cards turn the ball over at least 2 or 3 times, one of which points will result. The Cards do score and keep the game close till the end. That turnover happens near the end of the game to give the Steel a 27-17 win.
