the designer should have been considerate and added a bustle.

A bustle is put on the back of a ‘trained’ wedding gown so it may be lifted during dancing. You may be thinking of a ‘gusset’, which was added to her dress during the acceptance. And......that was ONE HELL of a gusset job. OK. If I’m being pedantic, hit me! LOL!

That was my first thought too.
With her statuesque figure, they could have used the exact same color, but done the dress in a simple,straighter, Greek/Roman style. She is in good shape, not fat at all. Maybe they were afraid to be honest with her.
It is unusual fabric, to say the least, do you think they have to worry about knock-offs? ;)

The green gloves (& I think the shoes) came from J Crew. The designer of the first dress today was made by a young woman who worked for Anne Klein for a short time until they abruptly parted ways.
I don’t feel sorry for her. She has the ultimate SWAT team of make up artists, hair stylists, designers of every stripe for day and evening wear at her disposal. Hollywood, Oprah’s peeps, all the fashion world bow at her husband’s feet. No. She either doesn’t take their advice or thinks she ‘knows’ everything.
Now tomorrow, we will all read, for all eternity, how classic; how Jackie; how elegant. Tonite...we FReep!!!
