The new White House website unveiled by President Barack Obamas team Tuesday includes a shot at former President Bushs response to Hurricane Katrina.
Under the agenda portion of the site regarding Katrina, it reads: President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.
President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina, the statement on the site continues. Citing the Bush Administrations unconscionable ineptitude in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims.

Yep...saw that before the election. It actually just pisses me off more, because we have allowed the communist democrats to dumb down our population!
When are we gonna fight back? That’s what I want to know tonight!
If it's an immediate need .. I go out the back door ... if it's a nice day and I have time,
The rifle range is about 5 miles away.
. No matter what is said or written, my memories of Katrina will be the unchecked, shameful and widespread looting of everything of value in New Orleans. People weren't stealing shoes and food, as is popularly recited today. They were stealing everything - everything that wasn't nailed down.
Katrina was the end of the Bush administration and it makes me ill.
These people will never have the class that President and Mrs. Bush have.
“unity of purpose over conflict and discord.”
see. president Bam bam is actually correct. He expects everyone to gang up.....on someone else.
These haters just can’t help themselves, can they?
Now the White House web site looks like it’s being written by MoveON
“Is there a site where we can REALLY go vent?”
Apparently, if you are a democrat, you can vent on the Washington Mall, boo outgoing Presidents and overturn buses on the freeway. So I guess we should all go to DU tonight and vent. /sarcasm
That kind of trash talk is low class.
More evidence that we are right - see how long the Left continued the “selected not elected” thing with respect to Gore in 2000!
Great pic! Thanks for posting it.
Looks like a blatant case of misusing federal government resources for partisan political purposes to me. Face it, we’re going to have to spend the next 4 years trying to keep the honest, because they aren’t about to do it on their own.
Sorry, meant they as in Obama.
Pray for America, her Troops and Obama’s Guidance
“President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.”
And who is the jackass on this site that keeps saying we need to continue to take the high road???
Katrina was the last straw for me in regards to Bush because the man simply refused to defend himself.
When do you remember Bush EVER bringing up the subject of the inexcusable failure of the Democrat Governor of Louisiana and the Democrat Mayor of New Orleans to follow their own published Evacuation Plan thereby leaving thousands of low income people trapped like drowning rats (no pun intended) in a flood surge zone, below sea level, protected by levees rated for a Category 3 hurricane when Katrina was predicted to hit New Orleans as a Category 5?
Ever?
While the Democrats and the liberal news media were planning to roast him alive over Katrina, George W. Bush was slathering himself with BBQ sauce, spreading out the Kingsford Charcoal Briquettes and sticking a meat thermometer in his own rump.
It won't matter what the problems will be, they won't be reported. All that will be reported is how much Barry cares and how much more competent he and his administration is.
During Katrina and in its immediate aftermath, I began to come to grips with just how powerful the media is. The networks and newspapers decided that Katrina would be Bush's Waterloo, and that's the story they created and peddled.

Welcome to the new WhiteHouse.gov. I’m Macon Phillips, the Director of New Media for the White House and one of the people who will be contributing to the blog.
A short time ago, Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States and his new administration officially came to life. One of the first changes is the White House’s new website, which will serve as a place for the President and his administration to connect with the rest of the nation and the world.
[Do a search on “Bush” and see what’s missing. It’s pretty funny, I bet these idiots went around and popped all the “W” keys off of their own keyboards today too!!! BigDaddy_TX]
