Guess that whole moving-forward-with-the-Arab-world thing President Obama talked about today hasnt reached the streets of Tehran yet:
Pro-Gazan Iranian demonstrators carrying a British flag, burn a photo of US President-elect Barack Obama, during an anti-Israeli, anti-US and anti-British protest in front of the former US Embassy in Tehran, Iran, Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009. (AP Photo/Vahid Salemi)
Islam can countenance you being an “infidel”. But once you accept the ‘One True Religion’ (patent pending) you had better not ever try to renounce it. The penalty under Islamic law for one who accepts Islam and then rejects it (for Black Liberation Theology of all things) is death.
RACISTS!!!!!!!!!!!! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM ARE RACISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAH! WAH! WAH!
I think he should fly over there tonight and sit down and talk to them. I’m sure a few empty words and a chorus of “Kumbya” will bring them around...........
Which is the reason that I believe that the Islamic terrorists (oops, I mean militants) will try to assassinate Zero at their first opportunity.
That didn’t take long, did it?
I wonder if that happened before or after the Inauguration ceremony.
No, they don’t hate Obama. He is one of them.
Amen. Thugs all over the world are going to be making moves to “test” America’s strength, now that we have the appeaser in the Oval Office. I wonder which will prevail-Hussein’s desire to be a “peacemaker”, or his desire to not look like the weakling who allows America’s loss of power and prestige on his watch, especially coming right after the man-God Bless President Bush-who kept us safe and fought terrorism on its own territory.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
I watched “Rick Steves’ Iran” on TV the other night. Rick Steves is a tour guide who set up his own show about travel tips for Europe several years back for those who don’t know. Well he went to Iran and showed it.
You would think that other than the veils that he was in Seattle (well, maybe not as anti-american as that). He quickly glossed over some anti-american billboards with the throw-away line “there’s so much of it that the people don’t even see it anymore” and never mentioned it again. But what I found intriguiing was that he kept running into people who spoke English and would say “Iranians love the American people! Sometimes governments don’t love but we always love” and things like that. A cynic might observe that the Iranian government maintained editorial approval in return for access, but even if so, the idea that they would orchestrate a pro-american image is interesting.
Not with this country boy. He does bad, I'll tell anybody within hearing about it. We know some will cover for him. If we let them get away with it, it's our fault.
