I feel compelled to smell the sour milk. I must do it.
Might as well have a place to vent.
I lived in Silver Spring, MD for six months back in the early 70’s’. I think the biggest shock was finding out — even back then — it was not safe to drive into The District from MD, that you had to go around the Beltway to get to the VA side, which is the beautiful side of DC... it is two different worlds. I didn’t understand it then and I don’t understand it now. I have been back to DC over the year and the subway there is wonderful, much nicer than the NY Subway (of course it is much newer)... and people can get past all the ugly stuff now via subway. I still think it is a crime, however, that 2/3 of our nations capital is a slum.
That is their way of celebrating - I guess?
I am happy to report that I just released the dove and it flew down into the gully behind the house. It landed on the ground...but did fly, so I am leaving it alone.
I think God sent me that bird today, so I wouldn’t have a heart attack watching the Obama morons spewing their hatred for President Bush (wink). I missed it all...running back and forth to the greenhouse to check on Dovie.
God Bless President Bush and his whole family! I am so ashamed of our country and our media for treating him with such malice....especially TODAY!
I just don’t think I can do it. Seeing twitter postings is bad enough. They’re all still on message about how this is hope personified.

it was Fox News saying it, too! Their guest commentator was some woman from the NY Post. “that outfit is going to be very popular now!” uhh... no. first, no one can afford to walk around in designer 2-pc outfits with accessories. second, it’s fug.

However, there remains some controversy as to whether President Washington actually said it or not. I believe he did, but clear proof is lacking.
I have 2 items that happened today:
1) A friend said, upon seeing the copter leave with Dubya, that she hoped it crashed.
2) Then a friend whom hasn’t contacted me in 8 years due to his suffering from BDS, called at 1pm, & said he just wanted to make ammends, can’t we all just get along. But he said I would have to admit that Bush was a lousy president. I wished him well & hung up on him.
These people are still going to be at it.
