Today is the last full day that George W Bush spent in the White House as President he telephoned current and former world leaders from Oval Office.
Also in his last full day as President he commuted the sentences of two former US border guards facing more than 10 years in prison for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler.
Secretary of Defense Roberts Gates will will sit out Barack Obama's inauguration at an undisclosed location as the "designated successor" in the event of a catastrophe, the White House announced Monday.
Pray for President Bush - Day 3050.
Enjoy Sanity Island on the President's last full day in office

God bless you George Bush. I will miss you greatly. You were a voice of reason, calm and steadfastness in a world of uncertainty and danger. I feel blessed that you were at the helm for these last 8 years and pray that you have a quiet, peaceful retirement.

I’m so sad thinking of the many innocent lives that will be lost on Zero’s watch. God bless President Bush for keeping us safe for so many years.

No I have a permanent job. I fabricate foam cases and end caps for electronics and auto paets and the like. It’s a family business. I just hope we survive. I love this job. There are only 12 people icluding the CEO and CFO working. It’s nice. Low stress. We also have a custom wood shop for pallets and crates.

we only have to pay a small amount each week Well that's good news. I am sure you will have no trouble doing "proper cooking" again.

Of course I’ll pray for Jim!
It’s amazing what medicine can do these days. Brain surgery is very scary, but I bet he’ll be feeling better in no time.

Hi snugs, thanks for posting this Dose.
I hope we do get “together” on some thread or another. It will be very sad to not be able to keep up with each other. So glad and thankful to God your Dad is home again. More prayers answered.
If you have it, will you please post the picture of GWB throwing out the first ball in the 2001 World Series at Yankee Stadium. I LOVE that picture. Thanks, again.
I’m thinking back 4 years when I had the honor of attending 2 Inaugural Balls. It was totally awesome. Our W did a fantastic job as President. God be with him and Laura as they go home and resume somewhat private lives.

I have had years like that. You’ll land somewhere. I never minded temping really. But it’s nice to have a “home”.
