Thanks for this thread, and thanks again to all who have posted it over the last 8 years.

We were given a great gift when George Bush became our president. It was a close thing, and I honestly believe God answered prayers to give us GWB instead of Gore.

We always knew he could only have 8 years, as did he. But he sure kept working up to the last minute, didn't he? Just what we would have expected.

I wish for President Bush and Laura a happy return to Texas, a long life, loads of grandchildren, and the honor and respect he is due, which I am convinced will come.

He kept my grandchildren safe, as well as the whole nation. He and Laura will always be in my prayers.
