HANNITY: Do you think she could be president one day?
MCCAIN: Sure, sure. But I'd also like to point out that it's very early in this whole season.
HANNITY: Are you thinking of running again?
MCCAIN: I was -- no, no, no, but I -- you know, my political corpse is still warm, as you know, but I -- you know, there's going to be, I think, a spirited contest for the nomination of our party, and I think there are also other governors that will be competitive.
People like Bobby Jindal and John Huntsman and Tim Pawlenty and Mark Sanford, and -- you know, there's -- governors now, I think, are going to be -- play -- an enhanced role in the direction of the Republican Party. One reason is because their talent, and another reason is because they govern.

He can run again if he wants, but he is forever insignificant.

And saying Sarah is fit to be president is not exactly bad-mouthing her.
What we have is McCain Derangement Syndrome.

If the republican party is to survive one of the steps it must take is the overhaul of the primary process. It must be changed so that more voters actual Reagan Republicans
have a say into who the standard bearer will be. There, fixed it for you

I held my nose and voted for McCain; however, it was only because of Palin and I will not be repeating that action. With all due respect for his war years, the man is not bright and is not a winner.

Exactly, McCain said nothing out of the ordinary in the article. He said there are many fine candidates, including Palin.
What else would he say on this subject in January 2009?

Maybe he can run a “centrist” 3rd party with Walter “Fritz” Mondale! In 2012 Mondale will only be 84 years old!

"What ever people think of McCain; he was the one who picked Palin.
He should get credit for that" The same way the the guy who slipped a roofie in a woman's drink should get credit for the rape that she suffers later that night.

As far as I know, McCain didn’t slip any drugs to anyone...

“New Hampshire and Iowa need to be S-canned as initial primary states. By the time I got to vote in Texas, the damage had been done. “
You do know that McCain didn’t even campaign here in Iowa...
To: Trueblackman
I second that, what an embarassment. Can you honestly believe that he was the what GOP nominated? I couldn’t believe it as he kept winning in the primaries.

I share your opinion...fully.
The dottering old fool thinks he is popular because of the primary and the close vote in the election. He swept the primary because of democrat crossover voters who knew he would be the easist to beat, and he only did as well as he did in the National election because of two main points:
1) People trying to keep obama from being elected, and: 2) Sarah Palin.
If he is the "choice" for Republican President again, I will just stay home...period.
I would hope if the cheater voters show up and cross the lines again to pick OUR weakest candidate, that the RNC will have enough freakin' sense to see through the ploy and do something to reverse it...if there is anything they can do.
If the old fool winds up in the primary with Sarah Palin, I hope she whips his ass so bad he'll crawl back to Arizona and retire, once and for all. He USED Sarah Palin, and that is all there is to it. Now, he seems pissed because everyone attributes his showing to Sarah.
McCAin't has a never-ending internal battle between patriotism and ego...I think the ego is winning.

Oh really. You might have your blinders on, but it’s clear to anyone following the election and post-election that Sarah was not McCain’s first choice, he undermined her at every turn, and he and his “people” have blamed and sniped at her continually after the election. And have you noticed the kissy-face reversion to McCain’s “core values” since the election, leaping so hard to the left there is a sonic boom rattling the Senate?
You can either hang on to your delusion or you can join us in Reality Land. Your boy is a big ole RINO who will grease the rails for 0bama to shove this nation into full-blown socialism drowning under the costs of unchecked illegal immigration.

YUCK, McCain looked so old (more than usual) and I wish he would stop saying, “my political corpse is warm.” It sounds gross!
To: FrankR

No need to do that. Baldwin(?) from the Constitution Party was the TRUE conservative. He, or someone like him, will probably run in 2012. Bob Barr was my choice. I’d also rather see Ron Paul than McKook as President any day.
To: VictoryGal
HANNITY: That was your choice (Palin), you’re proud of.
MCCAIN: I’m very proud.

I agree,
McNutcase is a political corpse. The only thing he will run for again, is the grave.
