No, no. You misunderstand.
It's a simple 'truth by definition' tactic by the left. Define this as a meeting between Obama and 'conservatives', then reference the 'positive' reactions of said 'conservatives' as proof of Obama's support among conservatives.
It's simply the fallacy of equivocation played large. These 'conservatives' are equated to conservatism-at-large by those with a vested interest in making it appear as though Obama is supported by conservatives.

Maybe so. I’m not happy with some of the people on that list. I haven’t read any Peggy Noonan columns since she ran down Palin. I never did read that Powers woman or whatever her name is. I find Will tedious anyway for the most part so I don’t miss him.
But in any event, as others have said, who would I be to dismiss a dinner invitation from the President-elect? At some level you’ve got to engage them even if its about football.
