Friends, Americans, conservatives; lend me your ears. I come to praise George W. Bush, not to bury him; I'll leave that to our famously unbiased media.
*snip*
We can also be pretty certain that his departure will not feature the ransacking of the Oval Office and Air Force One, or the sophomoric removal of the "O's" from White House keyboards.
If, as has been the case for his entire presidency, he is true to his word, he will be as magnanimous to his successor as he was to his predecessor; notwithstanding the disrespect he received at the hands of both.

The Telegraph has a tribute in captioned pics of the President entitled “My Way”. (some are obvious teases)
I love the big black ‘Thank you, Pres Bush’ image. I’m going to use that as the screen saver in my university office. Blow a few liberal minds.
Maybe I'm a pushover, but I am willing to forgive all the administration's missteps in exchange for no additional major terrorist acts on American soil since 9/11.
Any mistakes he made domestically can be reversed. Lives once lost are never regained.
That’s a good one, roses! What a twinkle in his eye!
I will miss President Bush. He has done what he thought was right even when some of us disagreed with him. I admire his strength and character. I appreciate the lovely First Lady, Laura, and the example she has been for girls around the world.
I believe that history will show him postively.
Thank you, Mr. President.
President Bush will be missed for his honesty, decency and steadfastness. Knowing of his faith and his personal relationship to God, gives me the belief that in the future, he will be vindicated for the decisions he made.
LOL ... great photo.
Uh, oh, they should have been arrested for wearing those flag shirts, just like Abbie Hoffman.
Indeed. The Bushes were/are a class act. Especially Laura!
God bless & keep them and their families!
Though I didn't always agree with President Bush,I am going to miss him a lot.
He knew what he had to do for our country, and did it without flinching.
I wish him and his family the very best and thank them for the class they brought to the White House.

Hot pic of W! Woo Hoo! LOL
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill
good quote.
Wouldn’t apply to any rat though. :)
Thank you for the thread, STARWISE.
The last 8 years have been tumultuous. After 9/11 we, as a country, have remained safe. Thank you, President Bush.
I truly believe that history will judge the President more kindly that the present day media has.
I will , miss him. Didn’t always agree with him, but who in the world do you agree with 100 per cent of the time? If a president could rule from the future, looking back, there would be no mistakes. I know my life would have been smoother with such an advantage.
And may I add..Welcome home, President Bush and First Lady.
Thank you for “My Way” roses of sharon.
Thank you for this thread Starwise.
Thank you Lisa for your article.
Thank you President Bush for being who and what you are. I’ve been dreading this day knowing we won’t be seeing another like him.
However! Welcome back to Texas sir!!
