López Obrador sends letter on immigration to Obama

Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the 2006 Mexican Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) presidential candidate, who inaugurated himself the legitimate president of Mexico with a following of more than 2 million people, said that on Saturday he wrote a letter to U.S. President-elect Barack Obama to find a solution for the immigration issue.

In 2006, López Obrador contested the Mexican presidential election claiming it was fraudulent.

The leader of the leftist party, PRD, organized a meeting yesterday at City Hall in San Luis Río Colorado where close to 300 PRD militants attended including members of the Labour Party - Partido del Trabajo (PT), the Convergence Party - Convergencia (PC), along with local congressional representative Petra Santos Ortiz and former mayoral candidate Santos González Yescas. There he stated that on Saturday he visited Altar, Sonora a town with a high volume of immigrants and that is where he said he wrote his letter to Obama.

He explained that in the letter he points out to Obama that the problem with immigration between Mexico and the U.S. will not be resolved by building fences, or by militarizing the border, but that instead there is a need to stimulate the economy and the social growth of Mexico.

Great...another Hispano-Racist pushing illegal alien amnesty.

If Nobama listens to this, and other La Razas, he will definitely be a one-term president....try selling illegal alien amnesty when Americans are losing their jobs, homes, livelihoods

One radical leftist calling out to another. Also, he’s taking a lesson from Barry’s play-book: pretend you’re in charge and everybody (if you’re a leftist) will accept you as such.

Lopez Obrador has no legitimate standing to write to a foreign head of state independently. But remember, he was the one who did the Mexican version of Al Gore, refusing to acknowledge that the conservative, Calderon, had won the presidency and acting as if he, Lopez, were a sort of president in exile. Fortunately, he had to give up on that one after a couple of months. But he’s got his hopes up again.

Another article today talks about how Mexico will make Obama do something about OUR guns getting into Mexico.

You know, if La Raza and the other ‘hispanic’ groups really cared about those people, they’d be hauling guns to the peace loving populace to protect themselves. Mexico’s leaders have proven they will not protect their people, the people better learn quick they and only they can change Mexico and the various 3rd world thuggeries south of our border.

MEXICO NEEDS THE SECOND AMENDMENT.

A politico who claims despite an election that he won and wants to be recognized as such by foreign heads of state is by definition corrupt.

I think every foreign nutcase radical leftist in the world is going to be running to the White House now. Sadly, they’ll probably be well-received, too.

“and what is Mexico’s southern border policy??”

Our retired border agents sent out an article about that today.

El Porvenir (Monterrey, Nuevo Leon); Cuarto Poder (Chiapas); and El Universo (Guayaquil, Ecuador) 1/10/09

Chiapas state police yesterday fired on a truck carrying a group of 24 undocumented Central Americans and Asians traveling through the municipality of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas killing three and wounding eight. According to the survivors, the police aggression happened around 6 a.m. in the indigenous community of Carmen Arcolete. One of the wounded, a Salvadoran, said the group of Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Hondurans, Ecuadorians and Asians were headed for the US. Local witnesses said the police in several vehicles were chasing the truck and began firing without provocation.

I do agree with Obrador that Mexico has used the US as a pressure valve. However, the burden is upon them to fix their own stinkin’ country.
