A STEEP temperature drop, a blizzard and a downpour could assail the millions expected to attend Barack Obama's presidential inauguration on January 20, officials said.
"Just given a sunny pleasant 50-degree day, just having that many people around town will be a problem, so any sort of weather issue on top of that is only going to exacerbate that,'' warned Christopher Strong, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
"No matter what happens, we'll be as well prepared as we can be given the enormous potential for crowds.''
Average late January temperatures in Washington fluctuate between minus six and plus four degrees Celsius, while the median temperature sits at about 2.7 degrees Celsius.

Hundreds of thousands of people who do not have a good historical record of being well prepared, standing outside in brutal cold temperatures for hours is a recipe for disaster.
Heh! Let the B***ards freeze to death in the dark.
I am ambivalent about wishing for good or bad weather.
If bad weather, the media will blame the less than expected crowd size on the weather.
If a bright sunny day, how will the Obamedia explain away the less than expected number of people? Oh, I know, they will just lie about the numbers.
Almost identical to my own thoughts.

AMEN!
If it’s the Alaskan cold moving in, we should thank Sarah :-)
LOL! liberal-sicles littering the streets.
My prediction- a lot of these true believers like churches that are loading up busses and just heading east or north- these folks are gonna end up in emergency shelters (some may not make it alive)
In the aftermath of zerO’s coronation, DC is gonna’ look like hurricane Katrina redux- except with life threatening temperatures.
Perfect response.
If it’s a nice sunny day the meme will be that the heavens are shining down and smiling on Chicago Jesus.
With that many democrats in one place the oder is going to be real bad.
The United States has an Inauguration every fourth January 20th. Never has there been this much anguish over the expected weather. I have been to three inaugurations. One in sunshine with a foot of snow on the ground, one in rain, and one in freezing rain.
A much worse modern problem that will cause anguish and anger for unprepared people is all of the security checkpoints, fences, blockades, etc that prevent normal movement around the Capitol area.
That will cause much frustration!
On the other hand, I believe that crowd expectation has been wildly overestimated.
Like the little kid in that scary Bruce Willis movie said, “I see dead people”.
Look for many special events for Obama...He's soooo Hollywood...
Not to mention the extra time spent standing outside waiting in line. If this ends up like the Promise Keepers event from the late 90's or that smaller event that happened a few months earlier, many people will die from exposure.
blizzard : inauguration : : Obama : America
Inauguration of Desolation ping.
God already sent a message. It was
“I’m giving you a clear choice between good and evil, between the Kingdom of God and the World of Satan. Choose with your vote.”
The country chose.
LOL! bttt
Oh, this is going to be gooooood.
Cold weather, snow, 6000 attendees per portapottie.
That’s what they intend for us.
Freezing in the dark, because they’ve made energy consumption so expensive that none but they can afford it.
