What it reveals is unlikely to be told by the mainstream media or by other enthusiasts for the magic phrase "universal health care."He can say that again. Thomas Sowell for President, Supreme Court, or just about anything!

Yet few Americans show any interest in what actually happens to medical care in those countries. A great website, The Real Cuba shows what exactly happens to medical care in the phalanx that is "universal health care".

Ive got about 10 year left of practicing Medicine. I could work longer but hope I will not have too. I am going to cry for this country when we get socialized Health Care. I am glad my whole life did not have to be lived in chains. The scary thing is the years when I will need excellent health care the most it will not be available. This makes me angry.

Dr Sowell has pointed out that the incidents of cancer in our body politic are increasing and need to be addressed.

“It is one of the painful signs of our times that millions of people are so easily swayed by rhetoric that they show virtually no interest at all in finding out the hard facts.”
Again Thomas Sowell identifies one of the most serious cracks in our Republic.

God forbid that the United States ever adopt anything like the nightmare “health” systems of England and Canada! Health will be the first thing to go.

Given the interest expressed by several posters on this thread, I thought you might want to re-ping your list. You can download the entire book in pdf format on the

I just saw Tom dascle before the senate committee saying that we are ranked 30th in national health care. We therefore need universal health care.
