Libs, Libertarians and kook RuPaul supporters like to use the word “neocon” as a smear toward Reagan Republicans. So, if you don’t fall into that category, you might not want to use that term.
The original neocons were mostly Jewish foreign policy leftists — except when it pertains to defense, especially towards Isreal.
They were Scoop Jackson type dems who switched parties starting back in the 60’s, real surge came during Carter,
and again during Clinton
Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle would be the ultimate examples.
