Showing they have no sense of morality, no grasp of corruption and no understanding of what defines a criminal, CNN gives us another one of those ubiquitous year in review stories, this one titled "Politicians who fell from grace in 2008." In this one, CNN has decided to reveal for us their top eight politicians that found 2008 to be a "career-buster" because of their "crimes and misdemeanors" or their outrageous controversies.
CNN features corruption mired Rod Blagojevich, the sex crazed Elliot Spitzer and John Edwards, and the criminal bribe taker Ted Stevens among four others. Each of these men in the CNN list have either been convicted of criminal actions, are indicted for corruption, lost their positions, been drummed out of their party, or are soon to face jail time. Among these eight criminals, however, is a name that doesn't belong among this class of serial abuser of the public trust. It won't be shocking to note that among the worst sex criminals, bribe takers, liars and thieves in politics for 2008, CNN ridiculously included the name of Governor Sarah Palin.
Palin, however, has done nothing remotely like what these other political ner-do-wells have done. She did not take bribes, she did not indulge in sexual dalliances with co-workers or call girls, she did not get booted from her party or lose her job as Governor. She is not under indictment nor does she face jail time, yet CNN includes her in a list with Rob Blagojevich, John Edwards, Kwame Kilpatrick, Larry Langford, Tim Maloney, Elliot Spitzer and Ted Stevens.

It’s true - the RINOs and Beltway Bandits will work hard to block Governor Palin on the national scene b/c she represents such a threat to business-as-usual.
She faces major obstacles within the GOP b/c she is Van Helsing to the RINO vampires, and they know it.
UnFREAKINbelievable.
It needed to be said again!!!
and this from the “feminnist “ party..LOL!
I don’t even refer to democrats as anything but hypocrats anymore.
Whatta buncha unhinged loons they are.
Even when they do it....they don't set the ground rules. And thats just dumb. The MSM / DBM is NEVER going to "like" them...and they need to quit trying to get them to.
Until they figure this out....they will remain the "stupid party"
Sarah has a most perfect conveyance of human normalcy!
No wonder the left wants her politically destroyed.
Okay, Okay I'm a guy BUT Sarah's politics are what REALLY turn me on to her!
Outrageous yes, surprising no. It’s CNN. I wouldn’t expect anything else from CNN. It’s almost like they have given up anything close to objectivity. I cannot believe that there aren’t even some people at CNN who are outraged about this. But they probably need to keep their mouths shut for fear of losing their jobs. In media nobody wants to be out of work today. CNN is a disgrace.
That depend upon what your definition of "liar" is. ~snort!
We all better get used to it. This will continue. Governor Palin is the extremely popular de facto leader of the conservative wing of the Republican party. Everyone is paying attention. The longer she endures the cheap smears the better her chances for winning moderates to our side and taking the country back for conservatism in 2012.
The f'kn arsenholen.
You forgot congressman William Jefferson of Louisiana... ; )
LOL
What if we picked a candidate who recognized the MSM as our enemy and chose to openly go to war with them?
Would there not be some benefits? After all, polls reveal over 80% of the public doesn't trust the media to tell the truth. Journalists are now held in lower regard than lawyers.
The base would doubtless cheer them on. The vast middle would grant the validity of their argument. The neurotic MSM might even try to over-compensate by giving favorable coverage to the conservative candidate.
O.K., I wouldn't want to count on that last speculation. But the Republican party and Republican candidates must ask themselves if continuing to play footsie with the media offers any benefit.
There's something liberating about calling a steaming pile of crap a steaming pile of crap...
Give me a break. Friggin stuttering morons like Obama, Biden and Kennedy are being covered and carried by the lamestream media. Bush and Palin get blasted as neanderthals. And somehow you agree with the libs that it's us who need to pick someone articulate?
Perception is reality and as long as we have candidates that are perceived as unintelligent, inarticulate and incompetent, that is what our reality will be.
The perception is not created by the candidates, but by the media. We need to bypass, fight and discredit the media. Don't play their games. Don't give interviews with hacks like Couricky and Glibson. Speak directly with the people. Innovation and creativity are needed. We need candidates that will go past the media, not someone who goes with them. The Alphabet networks are Democrat territory. Palin should been introduced through FOX, talkradio and other friendly territory. You can forget about any conservative going unassaulted through ABCNNBC.
There ... fixed it for ya
“Sarah Palin, average hockey mom persona as touted as a plus when GOP presidential candidate John McCain chose her as his running mate in August. But the Alaskan governor lost some luster when news broke of the National Republican Committee spent $150,00 to outfit her and her family in designer duds for the campaign. Palin said the clothing would be returned and auctioned off for charity. Palin was also accused of lying to get her brother-in-law fired from the state police and then sacking the public safety commissioner when he refused to go along. Lawmakers decided she violated their rules in the first case but within her rights to fire the director. The state personnel board concluded she violated NO ethic laws.”

CNN is hilarious.
They contradict themselves in writing up this nonsense.
Our candidate this year was a guy who has spent more time being interviewed on TV than any politician currently alive. He was a guy who has spent more time on the Sunday shows than any politician currently alive. He was a guy who had been a favorite of the media establishment for years and had spent his entire career sucking up to them for just the moment when he’d be the nominee and they’d support him. He was as comfortable and articulate as anyone on TV.
Real good it did him or us.
As for Gov Palin, while her interview with Couric did have some bad moments, on the whole she did fine. She was plenty articulate and if you’ve seen more than one interview of her you’d see she did fine. It’s not like she said “uh” every two seconds like Obama always does. Talk about articulate and polished. Unfortunately A)the media wanted him to win so they downplayed all that and B)they’re afraid to get tough on a black guy so they lay off
Do you really think if she had told Katie Couric that she reads The Economist, Foreign Affairs magazine, and the CIA World Factbook to keep up with what’s happening as opposed to saying “I read lots of things from all different sources”, even one vote would have changed?
If she had named 1 or 2 Supreme Court cases by names that 99.9% of voters have no idea about instead of saying the ones that encroach on state and local authority that even one vote would have changed?
It’s also a bit tougher when every on air talent and reporter is so blatantly in the tank for the other side and wants more than anything for him to win and would literally do anything to ensure that happens. I don’t care how good you are on TV.
It was the total and utter collapse of the economy from the middle of September through to election day that decided things, not how anyone did or did not do on TV interviews.
Given that the one Repulican who’s won a Presidential election in the past 20 years is about as inarticulate as they come, I don’t think it’s really that big of a deal.
See post #52.
That sleazy, inhumane, self promoting, BLACK SKINNED SOB of a congressman was mentioned without prejudice. : - D
