Palin launches pit bull-with-lipstick salvos
Washington Times ^ | Saturday, January 03, 2009 | Jennifer Harper

Alaska has a new form of wildlife: Gov. Sarah Palin, who has turned into a mama tiger, or a grandmama tiger anyway, in defense of her young.

Mrs. Palin is engaging in an unusually personal attempt to protect her 18-year-old daughter Bristol from the inaccuracies of the press.

In three different accounts, journalists have described Miss Palin and/or her fiance Levi Johnston as "high-school dropouts."

I would think that the daughter and boyfriend could sue for slander. They aren’t public figures.

lol. Yes they should sue. But this is just absurd. Sarah has more drama than Clinton. ROTFLMAO. I heard the kids are doing some sort of internet classes to get their high school diploma. In the interview, Sarah does not even address what avenue they are taking to complete this simple goal. I am sorry but Sarah would have been better off leaving this alone.

The only reason why Sarah has "drama" is because the media is constantly making it their business to find everything that's wrong (in their eyes) in her life. I'm not old enough to remember news during the Clinton era, and I'm sure I probably didn't care. For all the grief they have caused her, she is doing as good of a job as any of us to respond to her critics.

Sarah doesn't need to address what avenues they are going through nor it's nobody's business. If she hadn't said anything the media would've dogged her for trying to "hide" information. Bristol is an adult now and whatever she does from this point is her own business and shouldn't affect her mom one way or another.

Just my two cents tho.

Bah, f- the media. They'll dog her until she leaves office, and not one day before.

They'll dog her family, and her dog too. Really, since when did children matter the to MSM?
They'll just keep driving by until the job is done.

I half agree with you, but I do believe that Sarah LOVES the limelight.

No offense, but you seem to be subtly undermining Palin.

Are you a former Mitt supporter? ;)

I took a class once in Media Law, and we were told you are a public figure if you have access to the media to defend your reputation. You don’t have to hold office, and it doesn’t matter if you wanted fame or not. Also, in order to prove slander, you have to show that the reporters knew they were lying. Slander is not an easy case to prove in court.

I disagree. I’m sick of the media and their snarkie “Levi, the high school dropout,” reference. These people, the MSM, are egotistical and catty to the point of being disgusting. Sarah knocked them down a peg and good for her. I’m cheering.

Yes I am, but undecided about 2012. Mitt does not seem to have any drama except one silly story about the dog on the top of the car in 1976. His children are all married with children and not one had a child out of wedlock. I give him credit for that.

Mitt Romney doesn’t like to see anyone getting more attention,... than Mitt Romney.

I think he’s jealous of Sarah’s Hair. ;)

I am so glad you posted to me and that you agree with me about a real family values person like Mitt. It just makes me so happy that we agree on this. Family values are very important to any presidential candidate. Who has the most family values of any candidate this year???? Mitt!!!! In case you are unsure, take a look at each family and you will see the answer.

Actually I would prefer if Mitt Romney supporters stopped continually acting like democrats by trying to advance their own so-called candidate, by tearing down Sarah Palin.

And I was even once a Mitt supporter - even contributed.

I’m becoming very annoyed with the treatment Sarah Palin is receiving from Mitt-heads.

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Too many here can’t sufficiently fight for their candidate so they cower away with the post that you wrote. All Sarah is given on this site is FACTS. Facts don’t lie.
