Not this sh*t again. What good did it do in Lebanon (or anywhere else)? This is insanity. Olmert/Livni/Kadima never intended to fight this actually through.

Why would Israel demand ‘International Monitors’? How many times have they been down that road?

Bingo!

Israel should officially ask Iraq to provide military backed humanitarian aid and demilitarization to Gaza. The Iraqis are uniquely situated to do so. Their military has both Shiite and Sunni elements, is very familiar with demilitarization operations and humanitarian aid operations in a hostile military environment.

Israel, for its part, would offer an immediate cease fire when they arrived, along with restoration of power, water and consumer goods to Gaza.

The purpose of the Iraqi mission would be to restore the peaceful infrastructure of Gaza, to make sure that children attend school, that armed men no longer terrorize, and that the Palestinians have functional police and government services. And most especially, that aid sent to Gaza is received by families, not diverted into the pockets of corrupt warlords.

Sigh....stupid is as stupid does. These monitors do nothing. Worse than nothing in fact—they probably proivde a veneer of legitmacy for the terrorists.

The monitors are gona hate their jobs and Israel etc... They will also be told to be raped by Hamas as happened during the Balkan/Mogadishu type UN wars.... sheesh.

Compassion for Herode’s leisures and evil free time is damnable. We are really stupid. Just drop some whisky and jewish girls while we’re at it, it’d be more effective, sheesh. I suppose some French soldier gay a$$ might do for a bit...

I have an idea. Let the "monitors" be housed in tents in or near Sderot.
