I’m sure glad I got to see Yellowstone/Grand Teton last April.

You might be able to see them again. Real soon.

As they fly over Indiana.

"It can’t get me I am on the other side of a mountain range."

I think a major eruption of Yellowstone would launch debris and ash well above any mountain range. If you read any of the websites on it it shows ash falling as far away as Louisiana. :)

Our nukes would probably be kept safe, as I doubt we have any silos in the caldera. The silos are designed for ground zero blasts.

But alas, Shock waves through the ground are different from those above.

Our silos would probably be under feet of ash.

One good thing about Yellowstone going up. It would take out most of the country, and destroy our entire economy.

The chinese or russians (or mexicans) would no longer want to invade or take us over. We'd have nothing they'd want.

On the other hand, if it did blow, we would need the 12-20 million mexican landscapers currently in this country.

Sorry - I just checked it 20 minutes ago and it was working and now it’s not. Maybe there will be a better link up soon.

Thanks for posting this, Flavius.

I am keeping my eye on this thread today, hoping that the harmonic tremors are dying down.

Will gardening for food still be possible east of the Mississippi? How will our grain companies fare, like General Mills, etc.

Last night I got together with some buddies and they're wives. We talked about exactly that.

Between the economic collapses, all conveniently happening at the same time. Tensions world wide towards Israel rising. And possible environmental problems. And a communist rising to power in "the free world".

The Muslims believe that the Mahdi, or 12th Imam, will come to power when the world is in great turmoil or war. Ahmadinnerjacket believes he talks to the Mahdi, and is to be the one who causes this great strife, to usher in the Mahdi.

The Bible tells us that the Antichrist will be a "peacemaker", promising seven years of peace to Israel and the world. He will be viewed as a worldwide savior.

To bring peace means there has to be a war. To be viewed as a savior or messiah, means people need to be saved from something, like a global economic collapse.

Look at how people are already looking to Obama as some sort of savior. Imagine when the $h!t really hits the fan, people will really look for a savior.

The Bible tells us that when Israel becomes a nation again, that that generation will not pass, without seeing the second coming.

The Bible tells us that in Psalms a mans life should be 3 score and 10 (70 years).

Israel became a nation in 1948.

1948 and 70 would be 2018.

There are some that believe that the 6 day war, in 1967, when Israel won back Jerusalem, is the birthday of Israel.

Some believe a generation to be 40 years.

When the Bible tells us, that generation shall not pass, could mean the last living person of the generation, that saw Israel become a nation, or anytime before then.

The Bible tells us no man knows the hour. But it also tells us, that when we see these things happening, to look up, because our redemption draws nigh.

I believe we are watching the final prophecies line up before the Tribulation. Pre-mid-or post trib rapture doesn't matter. The Bible tells us there is a seven year tribulation, with the last 3-1/2 years known as the great tribulation.

1/4 of the earths population will be destroyed by a great war (Gog Magog?). Afterwards a remaining 1/3 will be killed by natural/hand of God disasters. I believe another 1/3 die from starvation and pestilences.

Finally, all the nations of the earth will rise up against Israel to wipe it out. At the last minute Christ returns stopping everything.

To me, I look at the existence of Israel alone, and the increasing hatred of the world towards it, as confirmation of Bible prophecy.

How can a TINY nation of 6 million people, be the cause of all the problems of 1.2 billion muslims? How can 6 million people raise the ire of the rest of the world (6 billion)?

Yikes. We (Obamma) is sure in for a great ride.

No worries. The One, the Obamessiah will go to Yellowstone, walk out ONTO the lake, spread his hands, speak to the great volcano, and quiet it.

The locusts with the stinging tails in Revelation are actually helicopters with tail mounted rockets.

I'm an entomologist who has stared at a few insects. I woke up on an airplane as we were taxiing past a helicopter with the two bubble glass in the front. Looks exactly like the eyes on an Acrididae. (Grasshopper or locust)

When people are asked to explain something they have no knowledge of, they use thing that they are familiar with. John had seen a locust, never a helicopter. But a locust flies somewhat like a helicopter.

John could see the future, he just didn't have the words.

Works for me. Maybe all of us freepers west of the Mississippi can relocate to East Tennessee and start our own town - Freeper Town.

Wow, would I love to attend one of your ‘dinner parties’! You have nailed agreat deal of it. One thing though, the’world’ as used in Biblical context doesn’t necessarily refer to the entire globe. For a war to threaten the extermination of Israel now, the U.S. hasd to be in an impotent state with no ability to come to Israeli’s direct rescue. ... Watch the rumblings in Yellowstone; a super volcano from Yellowstone would render this nation ‘neutralized’. Our armed forces would be recalled to our shores to deal with riotiung and mayhem and rationing, etc. leaving the Middle East without an American response.
