Egyptian border guards have opened fire on Palestinians who breached the border to escape Israel's assault on Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
An Egyptian security official said there were at least five breaches along the nine-mile border and hundreds of Palestinian residents were pouring in.
At least 300 Egyptian border guards have been rushed to the area to reseal the border, the official added on condition on anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the press.
A resident of the Gaza Strip side of the border, Fida Kishta, said that Egyptian border guards opened fire to drive back the Palestinians.

However, any jihadists that ends up meeting the wrong end of an hell fire missile, that I cant help but giggle at.
The sickest part is that these loathsome pukes hide amongst women and children.
Takes a big man to use an infant as a human shield.
End Rant/
Ditto. I don’t want to see innocent people die. When will the Palestinians finally realize that they are not going to wipe Israel off the face of the earth? If they want a good life for their children, it is time to stop attacking Israel.
Tested a few years ago. Works great!
Not deleted. We need more FReepers like Cher in Moonstruck to tap them on the shoulder or slap them in the face...saying "SNAP OUT OF IT!"
Just like SolidWood is suggesting we're obligated to stop missles being lobbed into Canada...I am not going to remain silent and grouped with their dehumanizing views toward fleeing Palestinians...or Mexicans for that matter.
To my knowledge, "Palestine" never existed as it's own country. Palestine was actually to Jordan what a county in the U.S.A. would be in relation to any given state. Kind of like the way "Transylvania" is a county inside Romania. I gather that pressure by the UN and the USA on Jordan allowed the State of Israel to be formed by carving the land from Jordan, typically among the most "laid back" of the middle eastern nations. The Jordanians didn't much care at the time. It's not like there was any oil to be had there. There was no way they could have foreseen the powerhouse that Israel would become...I mean it's not like they were experts on Biblical prophesy. LOL
Not if they were firing into Quebec. ;-)
There must me some apolitical Palestinians who just want to live in peace and are just trying to escape the bombs and missles.
From that standpoint, its wrong to make light of people dying, dont you think?
The Palestinians have been laughing and joking about "the Zionists" as their more militant brothers fired rockets and missiles
Finally "the Zionists" blew their stack and raked Hamas installations and dispatched a large number of bad boys back to Allah.
The Palestinians are depending on the world to be outraged and to hate "the Zionists" and condemn them
But strangely enough when oil is $38/barrel this outrage fails to materialize
The usual European critics also seem to be too pre-occupied by vast economic problems
BTW---- How come we rarely hear from Amedinijad and Hugo Chavez these days?
What a strange situation. Vladimir Putin is also silent
Look at this way.
Muslim rage and outrage is usually total bullshit and is easily seen as such in this deflationary era
It was just another bubble that has been pricked
Israel in 1920-1922.shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach Adonaibefore land for Peace.
Well Said.
The previous special treatment for Palestinians turned out be very unpopular with the vast majority of Egyptians.
Don't forget Lebanon; that was after Jordan. The US Marines had to rescue the Muslim terrorists that time.
It always amazes me when I hear people that are worried about the Palestinians when no one in the world wants them. They just use the Palestinians to do their dirty work. People need to just get rid of them.
That operator most likely never knew she was there...
LOL! Then they're using a dung-tipped needle...because this has been going on for a couple of thousand years.
Okay...since 1947. But you get my drift, dennis.
You are viewing it as a snapshot...today's economy/oil. There have been a lot of global economic expansion since and Israel STILL had to fight 3 wars for their survival to get here.
That is an awesome quote. Do you know if it was in a book, paper? I'd like to use that for my tag line for a bit if you and Golda Meir don't mind. i think my DDE quote is still happening now than it ever was but ....this one is classy too.
Thanks, spikeytx86!
Nice to ‘see’ you. Happy New Year!
