Hamas’s disregard for Israeli life is matched by its disregard for the lives of Palestinians living in Gaza. Using innocent Palestinians as human shields, Hamas purposely fires its missiles from homes, schools and community centers, confident in the knowledge that when Israel finally acts to stop the killing of its own civilians, Palestinians will also inevitably be harmed. The use of Palestinian civilians as human shields is not merely unspeakably cruel. It is also a fundamental violation of Palestinian human rights by the Hamas leadership.
Israel cares deeply about protecting the lives of civilians, both in Israel and in the Gaza Strip. Its efforts this weekend to stop the Hamas attacks represent classic self-defense, undertaken reluctantly by an Israeli nation that longs for peace.
Israel is now compelled to act to defend its citizens.

Hamas doesn’t care about Civilians (except the PR Value)... Israel should not care, either.
I have Israeli friends who say confidentially that Gaza should be bulldozed into the sea and cemented over (not the people, just the infrastructure). Something must be done now, before the Bush Administration is gone or Israel is toast.
Israel should push the entire population of Gaza into Egypt.....Then Nuke Iran, before President Huinsane Osama takes office.

The organization behind the last Israel "wars" is not the same as behind the the 6 days war, 1968, ... 40 years, the last generation, from miraculous victories leading to biblical resurection in 1948 and survival of Israel in 1967... to fake wars now. It never ceases to amaze me that so little has been said by you regarding the callous attacks by the palestinians of Gaza against Israeli civilians, schools, hospitals, children, etc., etc. with rockets and mortars day after day.
The death of an Israeli child or student or housewife or the destruction of an Israeli home never makes for news...but let Israel say enough is enough and what do you say? That the Israeli “retaliation” was “disproportionate “.
What do you mean by retaliation? Israel has been absorbing rocket and mortar fire from Gaza into its cities for months upon months without an incursion into Gaza. How long do you think the United States would tolerate San Diego being shelled by Mexico? This action is not retaliatory...it is Purely Defensive.”
