They tell us that they did not vote for Obama BUT:
1. They want him to succeed.
2. He seems to be a Centrist.
3. We should not treat him like the Left has treated President Bush
Do we want him to succeed in implementing a socialist agenda and wealth redistribution? NO
Do we want him to succeed in giving the abortionists more power than they ever had? NO
Do we want him to succeed in implementing an appeasement and surrender foreign policy? NO
Do we want him to succeed in appointing the most left wing Supreme Court and federal judges? NO
Is he a Centrist? Only fools believe so. The man is the most left wing person to be elected President. His left wing principles are so deeply rooted in his character that it is an impossibility he is going to change. All his life from childhood till this very moment he has been exposed and has only believed and practiced left wing ideology. Only a fool believes that a 47 years old man who has lived all his life as a left wing liberal is going to suddenly change and becomes a Centrist. Only a fool will fall for some of Obama cabinet picks who do not appear to be left wing lunatics and conclude that Obama is a centrist because of that. Only a fool believes that the left wing socialist limousine liberals who put Obama in power are going to tolerate centrism in the government. They do not have to worry about this issue because Obama will never disappoint them.
We are not going to treat Obama the way the left wing liberals have treated President Bush. We are not going to hate him as a person and we are not going to wish him any personal ill as liberals have done to President Bush since 2000 and will continue to do so even after President Bush has left office. However we are going to work very hard to defeat Obama socialist domestic agenda and his defeatist foreign policy.
Therefore and based on the above, we should start the fight against Obama agenda right here on Free Republic and purge the carefully disguised Obama’s trolls. We already have a 24/7 utterly disgusting Obama propaganda by the liberal media and we do not need more of it on Free Republic. We are a conservative forum and for now at least we still have the freedom to ban people who want to spread Obama propaganda. This will be best and it will help us focus more on our message. I hope that the owner of Free Republic and the admin moderators agree and help us achieve this mission.
I understand what YOU are conveying, but the poster in question desired that all criticism of George W. Bush be verboten. I don't know what end of the political spectrum you consider yourself, but as a Conservative I resent such censorship.

I have been so completely engaged in my work since the election (averaging 16 hours/day) that it has given me a viable excuse not to obsess about. (I am in about the 16th month of an 18 month implementation managing the implementation of a Radiology information system and I have never worked this hard in my life for so long)
I also live in Massachusetts, and there are several people in the cubicles around me who loudly discuss politics, and they are all completely leftwing. The woman I work directly with is as left as they come, but she and I have an understanding. I don’t talk politics with her unless she asks me, and vice versa. She is one of the brightest people I know. I got a chance in September to take her out to dinner, and we talked politics for several hours.
She let me explain why I am a conservative, and how I feel on many subjects that have a political bearing. And she listened. I consider myself pretty well read on a variety of political subjects as well as military history, and was able to explain and back up what I said. I had to give her the basics, much of which is news to liberals.
For example, I told her most conservatives don’t care at all what homosexuals do in the privacy of their homes. We just don’t think it should be sanctioned by the government and stuck in our faces. That was not her impression.
I also had to explain most conservatives are not against allowing, aiding and facilitating immigration, we are against allowing, aiding and facilitating ILLEGAL immigration.
And so on. You get the idea. This is going to be hard for me when the project is over and in April or May I open my eyes for the first time since probably September and really see what is going on all around me.
I hope I won’t (but probably will) be living proof of the “Frog in Hot Water” theory.

I worked for Reagan at his headquarters here when he first ran for Gov., I like my candidates conservative but when that is not possible, I take the one who has a clue

But I forgot, the third party lemmings don’t believe on the war on terror, many are 9/11 Truthers, and like Bob Barr, believe in amnesty & gay marriage.

I agree!! I'm one that doesn't believe in UFO’s, ghosts, black cats bring bad luck, etc. It has to have a lot of facts before I will even begin to buy into it. When the birth certificate issue first came up, I did the *eyeroll* even though I hoped there might be some truth to it.
That said, after I began really researching it, I suspect there is some sort of issue. Not sure it means he wasn't born in Hawaii, it could just be an embarrassment, like father not listed or unknown or something far worse, who knows. I do know this. Even if it is all BS and everything is fine, WHY is he fighting it so hard? WHY? WHY? I have to assume that he:
1. Has something to hide
2. Is even more of an assh*le that I thought he was an enjoys tormenting American citizens that have serious doubts.
I'm not sure which one is worse.
If another real civil war occurs, I am a citizen of my State. And the States created the Federal Union. They can un-create it.

I boycotted them 2 years ago. I refuse to watch anything but Fox and I've pretty much stopped watching it since they began catering to the desires of the Saudis that bought shares in Fox. So sad to hear that the New York Times, that upstanding newspaper( same as National Enquirer) is in trouble. What a loss that would be. *snicker*

I think you are wrong. I’m of the same mind as Rush. I hope the coal producing states that voted for O, that their coal business goes under.
I hope the US automakers are sucked in to collapse while shilling to the UAW.
I hope our NATION experiences every ounce of pain possible in order to finally wakeup to jusy what socialism really means.
And I will able to watch it happen because that is exactly what will happen.
There is only one way to avoid that pain, conservatism.
I want this nation to succeed.
I pray for Obama, for his health, security, and mental clarity.
I consider him a man deserving of great respect, as our democratically elected president.
I do not support many of his policies. That does not mean I will reflexively oppose his every action on instinctive reaction, or fall to the depths that the liberals did in their dishonorable and pathetic disrespect of Bush. I will not wish bodily harm or disgrace to Obama, and I would consider it a very sad day if freerepublic followed your standard and considered decent, patriotic, reasonable members like me to be trolls.
