They tell us that they did not vote for Obama BUT:
1. They want him to succeed.
2. He seems to be a Centrist.
3. We should not treat him like the Left has treated President Bush
Do we want him to succeed in implementing a socialist agenda and wealth redistribution? NO
Do we want him to succeed in giving the abortionists more power than they ever had? NO
Do we want him to succeed in implementing an appeasement and surrender foreign policy? NO
Do we want him to succeed in appointing the most left wing Supreme Court and federal judges? NO
Is he a Centrist? Only fools believe so. The man is the most left wing person to be elected President. His left wing principles are so deeply rooted in his character that it is an impossibility he is going to change. All his life from childhood till this very moment he has been exposed and has only believed and practiced left wing ideology. Only a fool believes that a 47 years old man who has lived all his life as a left wing liberal is going to suddenly change and becomes a Centrist. Only a fool will fall for some of Obama cabinet picks who do not appear to be left wing lunatics and conclude that Obama is a centrist because of that. Only a fool believes that the left wing socialist limousine liberals who put Obama in power are going to tolerate centrism in the government. They do not have to worry about this issue because Obama will never disappoint them.
We are not going to treat Obama the way the left wing liberals have treated President Bush. We are not going to hate him as a person and we are not going to wish him any personal ill as liberals have done to President Bush since 2000 and will continue to do so even after President Bush has left office. However we are going to work very hard to defeat Obama socialist domestic agenda and his defeatist foreign policy.
Therefore and based on the above, we should start the fight against Obama agenda right here on Free Republic and purge the carefully disguised Obamas trolls. We already have a 24/7 utterly disgusting Obama propaganda by the liberal media and we do not need more of it on Free Republic. We are a conservative forum and for now at least we still have the freedom to ban people who want to spread Obama propaganda. This will be best and it will help us focus more on our message. I hope that the owner of Free Republic and the admin moderators agree and help us achieve this mission.
The only thing that will be different than Bush is judges-a big difference-however, I don’t see how anyone could spend more money that pres. Bush did and he created huge entitlement programs. As for judges, Obama will nominate who he wants...if the GOP thinks the Dems won’t immediately play hardball with cloture just watch...they won’t need a gang of 14.
The creature that is the president-elect is clearly an anti-Christ. Time will tell whether Obama is The Anti-Christ, something that I didn't assert.

Except for obvious disruptors, I agree. And while Jim has laid out some guidelines to post here, I've never felt that we have to "preach to the choir" on every aspect of conservatism. Debate can be healthy.
Well I CERTAINLY Do NOT want him to succeed at his policy goals, however I AM commanded to pray for him in 1 Timothy!
Well said. The Clinton experience should have taught us that one must be serious and substantive to have any chance at bringing about political change.
well, perhaps your definition of “spreading propaganda” is not what others may see as the same thing.
It seems anyone who veers from another’s view is accused of being a troll or being “emotional” or being stupid or a fool which doesn’t advance any reasonable argument or discussion.
So it goes up a notch and people get purged or banned to the detriment of the forum.
If we cannot meet propaganda with argument and start witch hunts to prohibit others views who are different from our own, we aren’t worth a thing.
It won’t ruin anyone to meet obama propaganda and answer it but it will hurt all of us to start purges. We don’t need an echo chamber here.
Debate can be healthy.
No it isn’t, and I’ll debate you on the point!
I do have a few good friends from school who are Muslim, and whom I know to be great people.
Christians, of whom I am one, need to take our faith as strongly as I have seen my friends take theirs.
In school, my Muslim friends were more conservative on issues, both social and financial, than were 98% of the rest of the student body. All of them were international students, as it seems all people from the US are freaking liberal in comparison.
Those “pray for 0bama” threads REALLY tick me off-they don’t belong on FR.WHy should I pray for him?????
I’m ticked off!!!!!!!!!!!& VENTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would you allow left wing bloggers to post on FR freely? Yes or No.
The poster seems to like that sort of thing. If it's not starting a thread calling for our heads, it's in nearly every bottish post. (Could it be that Howlin's ghost remains, haunting the forum, judging principled Conservatives?)
By the way, it's good to see you, JoJo.
jveritas, did you take the personality test here on FR a few weeks ago? I'd like to see your results.
We on FR want the nation to succeed during the Obama years, but we dont want Obamas politics to succeed.

Exactly, I’ve seen Obama’s politics active in socialist countries and I will fight tooth and nail to keep our markets free and our health care NOT socialized in any way, shape or form!
You're right guys. That old Constitution thing is just plain silly.
/s
What personality test and who are you to see my results even if I took it?
I think you have done yeoman work on FR jeveritas, and have seen you attacked on more than one occasion, so I don't take issue with your statement here.
I was saying this months before the election, that we should focus on his policies and he would never be elected. Funny how that worked out. I never in a million years thought Americans would elect a man like him. Never, ever.
But here we are.
Obama is a racist who spent twenty years listening to anti-American racist pap in a racist "church" and gave large sums of money to that "church".
People don't care.
Obama is an associate of a virulent anti-American radical terrorist, a member of a group who killed AMERICANS with bombs, who wished he had done more violence, whose most public moments in print are accompanied by a picture of him proudly and triumphantly standing on top of an American flag, the same flag I and my father served under, and my father was buried under. This man is one of Obama's principal patrons, who by his own admission is "guilty as sin-free as a bird", and quite proud of that.
People don't care.
Obama is corrupt to the core, steered money towards his family (wife) and friends.
People don't care.
Obama is an avowed socialist who believes in redistribution of wealth.
People don't care.
Obama thinks higher taxes are the way to fix our problems.
People don't care.
Obama thinks higher gasoline prices are good for us.
People don't care.
Obama thinks guns should be banned.
People don't care.
Obama is a devotee of Saul Alinsky's techniques as described in "Rules for Radicals", one of the most disgusting things I have ever read.
People don't care.
Obama is probably not a citizen eligible for the Presidency under the guidelines of the Constitution and pointedly and arrogantly refuses to provide the documentation.
People don't care.
I am disheartened about this election in ways I simply cannot describe, but most depressing and discouraging for me is that I worked hard as a citizen to understand the issues. I made the effort to evaluate and re-evaluate my stand on issues and make sure they were backed by logic and consistent with what was best for our nation.
My vote was trumped and negated by a damned ignorant idiot who came to the conclusion Obama was going to pay for her mortgage and her gasoline. My vote was worthless.
For the very first time in my life, on the basis of what I saw leading up to and on November 4, 2008, I came to the conclusion we are finished as a republic. I am holding out hope, still.
But I will say this: This man and the people he is allied with present the gravest danger to the fabric of this country. If they succeed in destroying captialism and free-enterprise in this country (which is their goal, make no mistake about it) It is going to take a long, long time to get it back, if ever.
The principles that this country was founded on, self sufficiency, freedom from an intrusive government and freedom of expression are antithetical to Barack Obama and his liberal and radical associates. Do not doubt for one second they want to change our country into something that is the opposite of what it was founded on. They need to be fought at every turn, and even then, the tide is against us.
Sure, I am going to participate and contribute to any movement that ensures that a candidate cannot be placed on the ballot in 2012 in a given state until they have provided proof they are in compliance with Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution, but that is like closing the barn door after the cows are out, and it is going to be just a drop in the bucket in the fight against their kind.
These people have shown they are patient and know how to wage this war. We are not patient, and are loathe to stoop to their level. I hear people saying we should adopt the tactics of Saul Alinsky as they have, but I don't subscribe to it. I think we can succeed without embracing the immorality of something like "Rules for Radicals".
Look what has happened all over this nation with the ACORN crap (most likely widespread for decades) look what is happening in Minnesota with Coleman and Franken (if you are not sure, look at the discussion about the ballots that are being allowed and those that are disqualified for a given candidate by the evaluating board-it is a blatant, partisan attempt to steal an election by liberals)
The point I make is not only that these people have no problem with fighting dirty, we may have reached a tipping point in this country where a majority of people are willing to have a huge intentional blind spot because, as the Iraqis are finding out, Democracy is hard. On the surface, it is easier to let others run your life, and we may now be a majority where everything is evaluated on the surface.
And we may be forced to relearn all those hard lessons our forefathers learned by hard and bitter experience that they poured out into forming the Constitution of the United States, the same document so many people (not only Barack Obama, but many on this forum) are completely willing to disregard.
If we start screaming about Birth Certificates
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I believe our Founding Fathers would agree that the common citizen has a right to ask the president elect to produce a valid birth certificate, passports, draft registration, and college admission records.
All it taught me was that some people can get away with perjury.
Not people like us, mind you.
Sound familiar? I'm sure something exactly along these lines appeared on DU eight long years ago. Turns out that their fears were all for naught.
With any luck, Obama will be as big a disappointment to liberals as Bush was to conservatives.
I did not vote for him and neither did any member of my family. But if he is going to be inaugurated in January I want him to be a successful president, not for his sake but for my country’s.
I still want him to identify himself and prove his legitimacy in assuming the position of POTUS. However, the only ones who could force him to do so are a bunch of emasculated, honorless, spineless bunch whom we put in power. So we can’t expect any support from them.
It seems that we are stuck with Hussein barring a miracle. And then we’ll be stuck with an old useless fart. No, the next four years will not be very happy ones.
its probably the same posters who Bush Bash in the name of honesty and conservatism
