I was getting updates on this last night on my phone....I decided to turn it off and just go to bed...
there was a triple stabbing in Pasadena, CA a little earlier last night...at a Christmas Party....and in the afternoon there was some guy on the roof of an apartment bldg with a shotgun yelling at the cops.
Horrific
Up to 25 people were at the party.
There are numerous posts on this thread that would contradict that assertion.

Sure, if you can manage to ignore the 3 plus murders, the wounding of an 8 year-old, the broken ankle of the woman who jumped from the 2nd story window trying to escape, the molotov cocktails the sick b*st*rd threw into the house, the resulting inferno, the panic and terror, the fact that it happened on Christmas Eve, etc, etc. I must learn to develop a better sense of humor.

because trying to analyze it would be insane....

Those criticized for morbid humor during these tragedies are probably more sympathetic toward the victims than the criticizers. It's a laugh it out (note: not Off) or cry-and-go-mad world for us.
If I were one of the Holier Than Thou posters I'd think twice before tweaking those who deal with grief through humor. But...huh? What's that on the roof?
If you think that is funny, you are sick.
Even having a temptation to make jokes about such a subject shows immensely poor thinking on your part.
