(CNN) Pat Robertson is "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama, the conservative leader told CNNs Suzanne Malveaux and believes President Bushs administration has not dealt with the nations economic crisis in a professional manner.
Well, it's hard to assess blame, but I, over the years I hate to be critical, I mean I am a Republican, and this is the president of the party that I'm a member of but I think we've had some serious goofs along the way, he said on the Situation Room Tuesday.
The Katrina matter was terrible. The rebuilding of Iraq has been terrible. The [handling] of the economy right now has been terrible. It hasn't been handled in what I would consider a professional manner.
Robertson said history may be kinder to Bush than current opinion. But I believe I would look at about a C-minus right now if I were grading him, he said.
The evangelical leader has been a supporter of Bush's presidential campaigns.

Ooops! Sorry. New Zealanders...
Just what did Pat want "W" to do? Lift the area out of the seabed, or what?
Hey, this is way beyond dementia ~ it's about not comprehending "elevation".
He did appoint what appear to be two great supreme court justices. He also reduced income tax rates and signed no new tax increases during his two terms.
He chose Dick Cheney as a VP, Condi Rice as a secretary of state.
He signed a partial birth abortion bill. He has kept Islamic immigration into the US at a level so low that our European friends are complaining about us.
He allowed SDI to go forward.
He lobbied for increased energy independence.
On the other hand...
Still, we will long for the days of George Bush before Obama is done with us.
That’s a pretty short list after eight years. Sorry, the man has been a disaster as president. It’s what we had. I sometimes think a Gore presidency would have solidified GOP control of Congress for years.
Pat has been losing his marbles for the last 8 years by my estimation.
> Well, that raises a point since all the other stuff, according to you is “small stuff”. What would legacy be without the war? Take that away and what would you have had? A president who wants open borders. A president who, apparently picked mostly turncoats for his cabinet. A president who picked a lot of inept people for his cabinet.
Granted, but the War gazzumps everything else — as so it should.
For example, if you’ve got liver cancer, you are not going to much mind having an ingrown toenail, a wonky knee and three rotten molars — each of which, without the liver cancer are jolly uncomfortable and reason enough to complain. You will instead focus on getting the liver cancer treated and under control because it gazzumps all other of your illnesses.
> The invasion of the United States by over 15 million foreigners is not “small stuff”. How would New Zeelanders react to an invasion of millions of foreigners? Would you call it small stuff and let your president have a pass?
During peacetime I would call it an intolerable situation and demand it be fixed immediately.
But during war-time, I would demand our Prime Minister focus on winning the war, because we can deport the illegal aliens later. Or we can put them into uniform and send them off to fight the enemy. Or whe can put them to work making war materials. Or we can ignore them because in the context of war they are small stuff.
> Ooops! Sorry. New Zealanders...
(grin!) no worries: Abel Tasman was a Dutchman, and for a long time it was spelled as you did: Zeeland.
Nobody seems to know how our Country got its modern spelling.
Yo Pat, suffering from Alzheimer are we?
“Thats a pretty short list after eight years. Sorry, the man has been a disaster as president.”
I agree he’s done some pretty egregious things, like having a Mohammedan prayer gathering in the Whitehouse.
Still, which two Republican presidents from the past 30 years would you most trust with you in a foxhole?
I rebuke you Satan! Steering that hurricane into those black people, I rebuke you Rove! Murdering those Iraqi freedom fighters, I rebuke you Rumsfeld! Causing that ACORN mess, I rebuke you Bush! Where is the church lady from SNL?
Oh, THERE is the church lady from SNL. Thanks.
How much ice, aid, food and manpower sat on the Louisiana state lines without so much as a how-dee-do from Blanco?
The hero of that entire event was the kid who commandeered that school bus out of a lot full of busses.
Pat’s father was a democrat senator, what do you expect.
He also got little Pat out of fighting in the Korean War.
You Bush-bots are nuts. GWB is a disaster. The test is over, we no longer have to lie about him. In fact its counter-productive.
7 years of no terrorist acts in the US does not add up to a disaster. Gonzalez, not fighting back and telling the media and Dems to STFU about Katrina, Harriet Miers, Presc. Drugs, not fighting the partisan hunt of Scooter LIbby, on and on not fighting back, those were the disasters. Bush should have ordered Murtha to be arrested when he accused the Marines of murder in cold blood.
Pat’s just hoping Zero’s thug army will eat him last.
First, Obama has not taken office yet so it shows class and smart politically for Pat to ‘publically’ praise him right now. Next, and this is something the ‘vote for McCain because he is the lesser of two evils’ crowd didnt seem to understand; we have to have higher conservative standards for our party than their party. That McCain would have imposed socialism and taxes, but not as bad as Obama, is a disaster. Republicans set precidents that allow democrats to move forward, like the bailouts and tax rebate checks for those that pay no income taxes, but vote democrat.
Lastly, GWB just gave the 3 branches of government, the military, the financial system and industry to the fingers of BoB. He has brought disaster.
