The Sarah Palin backlashor comebackis underway. Misused by the McCain campaign, then dissed by anonymous McCainiacs as a haughty diva, those who think the senator and his staff are to blame are starting to speak out. And we're not talking about those who traveled with the Alaska governor who quickly took a shining to her and chafed when the McCain team botched her coming out on the campaign trail. Now I'm hearing from key Republicans on Capitol Hill and GOP pollsters who believe that the McCain campaign should have put her out to talk about energy and political independenceher two best issuesinstead of making her the conservative attack dog.

FTA:
"The McCain campaign took this person and completely botched her assets."
That McCain threw the election for Obama is no surprise.

Yes McCain botched the Palin pick.
He should have picked her to be the Presidential candidate, and deferred himself to the 2nd spot on the ticket.

RE “the McCain team botched her coming out on the campaign trail”
Her attacks were great . He botched prepping in those first interviews telling her to repeat that reformer earmark crap (a loser) and not preparing her with decent national issue talking points. How could he? He was a fake.

That was the one thing he didn’t botch. It’s amazing though at the lengths the establishment will go to get at Palin. I’ve no idea whether or not Palin will be the 2012 nominee, but I think that conservatism is in better shape than the scribblers are letting on. We just lack a voice. But that’s been the case for a while.

Instead, the campaign "took her and turned her into an attack dog and she wasn't good at it." I dunno bout that...I heard her in person a week before the election and she really let Barry and Joe have it.
BTW, Palin Ping!

The problem was, McCain didn’t attack, he played the hippie pansy role instead of the old, foul mouthed soldier. We needed the latter, we got the former, my friends.

you are so right on this. At the convention, Palin got up and was ready for the fight, and I thought “ok McCain, she started it, now you finish it.” but he did not have the b*lls to do it. PALIN FOR 2012 I want to see just what she has and I just bet she has more b*lls than McCain every had. We’ll need her, for sure, in 2012 to correct all the crap that the Zero is screwing up.

Yes McCain botched the Palin pick. He should have picked her to be the Presidential candidate, and deferred himself to the 2nd spot on the ticket. I am going to have to disagree with you here, he should have placed her as the Presidential candidate and then got his sorry a** out of the campaign altogether!

I believe McCain’s entire intention from day one...was simply to run a second place operation. Whatever pressure was brought on him to pick Palin...was simply luck. McCain was never destined to win the election, and I think half of us knew that.
