Residents of Negev communities awoken by renewed rocket fire this morning as Palestinian groups launch four Qassams from northern Gaza towards Israel. No injuries or damage reported. Gaza sources report several casualties in IDF strike short time later
Residents of Israels Gaza-vicinity communities awoke to the sound of rockets landing near their homes on Saturday morning. In all four Qassam rockets were fired by Palestinian groups towards the western Negev: Two of the rockets landed in open areas in the Eshkol Regional Council, one landed in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council and the fourth landed just north of Gaza.

The IAF could sure use them and by proxy help us in the WOT.
We sold old Shermans to the IDF back in the 60s and they upgraded them into real Russian tank killers.
Imagine what the inventive Jews could do with an F-14.
But alas, with Obama we don't necessarily have an anti-Semite,but we definitely have an Islamophilic pro-anti-Semite.
A blessed Christmas to you F15 Eagle.
(Big Grin!!) In many ways the South Pacific hasn’t changed much since the Second World War. Your Dad might even have been in Auckland at some time during his service here, as NZ was a jumping-off point and R&R destination.
Thanks for your Service, too! When I was growing up, Vietnam Veterans were my heroes. I guess they still are!
Happy Christmas / Merry Hanukkah, mate!
I understand the sentiment behind what you say, but there is also something to be said for keeping the ‘war’ at nibbling pace as opposed to giving excuse for every country surrounding them to wipe out Isreal. They could handle Gaza, but could they handle Lebanon, Iran, Syra, etc... all at the same time?
The Israeli’s can hold all of them off. If they couldn’t they would be wiped out today. If any Arab nation or coalition had the strength to wipe out Israel it would do so instantly. They hate Israel and want to exterminate its population, they don’t need an excuse for war, and they couldn’t possibly hate Israel more than they already do.
The Palestinian population will eventually crowd out Israelis with their massive birth rate. Twenty years from now most Arab nations will have the bomb. Waiting is not an option for Israel.
Gaza is no different than any other Islamist enclave that pockmark the liberty-loving population centers of the West.
They simply have the autonomy to arm themselves legally in their terrorist pursuits.
Generally speaking, I think it makes more sense to make your enemy respond to your maneuvers rather than to find yourself constantly responding to his maneuvers. If you find yourself responding to his attacks the principles of battle probably aren’t in your favor i.e surprise, initiative, offensive, mass and synchronicity of force, maneuver, objective, etc. That being the case, perhaps rushing off into a major war in response to a few missiles that impacted without significant effect isn’t the wisest approach here.
So if Mexico launches a few missiles at Los Angeles and Houston every day for ten years, we should just take it? I mean common, a war over a few missiles? They only killed a few civilians anyway, why not just wait it out and see if they run out of missiles?

Some Japanese leftovers attacked a mess hall at dinner time, killing many and wounding more and the survivors came or were carried to his ship and he had to redirect them to the evacuation LST further down the line—the one that takes the wounded to the hospital ship anchored offshore.
He talked to some of the ANZACS among them and he told me that they had been fighting in the jungles for a long time and it was a shame to get all shot up now that the island was already taken.
Dad was pretty shaken at the sight of those messed up Aussies and New Zea landers.

Ooops,I meant 1943 and though the island was taken, more or less, some Japs still held out for another year up in the mountains.
Mexico has been invading Los Angeles and Houston everyday for well over 10 years and we’ve done nothing about it. Regardless of that, your argument doesn’t address the point I made even a little bit. A.) We’re talking about Israel’s situation here, not ours and B.) Israel already exists in a perpetual state of war against this enemy and C.)I didn’t say they should turn the other cheak, I was simply suggesting that blindly, angrily, and hastily stumbling into a major war in response to an attack has a way of leading to sub-optimal outcomes and that it is far more wise to thoughtfully enter the war so as to “go in” when and how it is most favorable for you and least favorable for your enemy. All of this I’m quite sure the Israelis are aware of already.
Yeah, and there is the pregnant Palestian women with her nine other prayer-rugrats standing next to where the rockets were launched praying to allah that the Jews will retaliate as she waves at the CNN cameras.
As long as we have a hate-America anti-Semite Leftist mainstream press an Israeli bringing a knife to an Arab gunfight will always be interpreted as Jewish overkill.
And that population will continue to breed more terrorists that will simply come back to kill more Israelis. No one is going to miss Gaza if it is carpet bombed and the entire population is wiped out. If doing this is the only way to ensure that these terrorists stop killing Israelis, then so be it.
> No one is going to miss Gaza if it is carpet bombed and the entire population is wiped out.
Carpet bombing would sorta make a mess of any archaeological sites in Gaza: it isn’t particularly gentle.
Just as Islamist savages built Mosques on top of every civilized holy site they demolished, they now welcome the destruction of even the most deeply buried locations of “infidel” history.
Bush was an awful disappointment, but at least, unlike Obama,he knew the face of the true enemy of humanity.
The Middle East is such a rich repository of human history it is a bloody shame that it is wasted on having destructive muslim tenants.
That is why I don’t think carpet-bombing Gaza would be too wise an idea.
I have fewer reservations about Mecca.
I guess his wedding night was improved considerably by his death. Rather than just one bride, he will have a multitude of Houries.
That might be Larry, Mo and Curly.
