A “hate” attack. What kind of attack would it be otherwise?
To: Larousse2
How shameful....I hope the perps are found and do serious time.

Miami beach is a bad place for anyone. He was in a bad spot. Walk around DC. How many gentiles were beaten during the reading of this article? At least one.

Miami Beach Police said they will investigate this case thoroughly if Hazan files a supplemental police report. ???
Don't get that. Isn't it considered a crime?

From the article,
Miami Beach Police said they will investigate this case thoroughly if Hazan files a supplemental police report.
Maybe he can find a community organizer to get the form.
Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would do it, except he has a funny name.
If he files.... that really makes me mad. Hate is hate. If he had a different racial profile the EEO coordinator for the city would have already had it done.
To: Larousse2
If he doesn't remember what the attackers said, and the article doesn't give any other supporting evidence, then how can it be assumed that this was a Hate Crime
TM?
There are teens in the country so screwed up that they'll randomly pick a victim and beat the $#%@ out of them just for fun.
Does an assault hurt less if it isn't a Hate CrimeTM?

“Dovid Hazan’s triplets visited him in the hospital and had no idea what had really happened to their father. Perhaps the harsh reality underlying his hospital, stay too much for innocence to grasp.”
And of course, if he had been mugged or something, he could have rested easily knowing that the universe is in perfect harmony.

The people who did this should be shark food, but where is the justification for calling this a “hate crime”. What I read said he didn;t hear what they were saying.

I never have understood this anti-semitism. I find them to be a peaceful and kind people with wonderful traditions.
Where I grew up, the Christian and Jewish communities were tight. Our Jewish friends sat down to Christmas dinner with us. We had service in their synagogue when our sanctuary was being renovated.
Only when I was 18 and realized a Jewish family wasn't allowed in the country club was I aware of any animosity toward Jews.

"I have no clue, I never saw them, I have no idea who they are, I had no words exchanged with them. They saw me and they came out of the blue," said Hazan. No words but yet it is claimed he was attacked because he is Jewish? How would they know?

As one with no intimate knowledge of any form of Jewish custom, I ask:
What is the significance of wearing a "yamacha" (round cloth) versus wearing a "yarmulke" (round cap) on one's head?

This is a nasty assault, but it is called a hate crime because the victim wasn’t a white, male, Christian. If it had been it would have been his fault for being out where he could be assaulted by citizens exercising their right to their normal behavior patterns.
I am sorry for the man who was hurt. I hope he recovers and I hope that the suspects are caught and punished. I simply can’t accept that a system that demands equal treatment under the law doesn’t support equality among victims.
