What is the significance of wearing a "yamacha" (round cloth) versus wearing a "yarmulke" (round cap) on one's head?
I think I mispelled the word. I have a bad migraine now from being so upset. Sorry for my mistake.
It’s fo-ne-tic spelling from a Spanish speaker.
As the token Sephard here, I’ve seen Spanish communties opting for the “yamacha” spelling.
There may be an actual difference (e.g., the more formal cloth cap or something worn under another head covering vs. a semi-hard kippah), but I don’t think so.
