Man in hospital after hate attack
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida man is in excruciating pain after a brutal attack sent him to the hospital on Monday evening.
Dovid Hazan's triplets visited him in the hospital and had no idea what had really happened to their father. Perhaps the harsh reality underlying his hospital, stay too much for innocence to grasp. "I have no clue, I never saw them, I have no idea who they are, I had no words exchanged with them. They saw me and they came out of the blue," said Hazan.

And of course, if he had been mugged or something, he could have rested easily knowing that the universe is in perfect harmony.
Excellent article. Thank you!
The people who did this should be shark food, but where is the justification for calling this a “hate crime”. What I read said he didn;t hear what they were saying.
Jews in Florida tend to vote democrat....
Democrats are soft on crime.....
I cant understand this....
As TBI survivor myself, I can share with you that he will have “cognitive deficits” for some time to come. His swollen brain (mine also after I was injured) will affect him for some time yet.
I am so angry and upset.
Today Miami, what city is next?
According to Ayers and O’s new education czar, these thugs need hugs not jail time.
Where I grew up, the Christian and Jewish communities were tight. Our Jewish friends sat down to Christmas dinner with us. We had service in their synagogue when our sanctuary was being renovated.
Only when I was 18 and realized a Jewish family wasn't allowed in the country club was I aware of any animosity toward Jews.
No words but yet it is claimed he was attacked because he is Jewish? How would they know?
What's a yamacha?
“Where I grew up, the Christian and Jewish communities were tight.”

I’m not sure of the connection being made.
Do you really think it was “Christians” that attacked him?
Yamulke, yarmulke, sometimes called a kipa. A headcovering which would identify him as Jewish, the reporter simply can't spell.
I am not a “hate crime” proponent. A crime is a crime, regardless of motivation.
But, yes, there is a distinction between being robbed -— which while evil, has some logic behind it -— and simply being attacked because one is black, white, Jew, or gentile and in the wrong place.
I am fortunate enough to be a big guy (as in, tall and can still deadlift north of 500 for reps at 6:30 am) and never had problems with this, even though I am identifiably “Jewish” — beard and all.
It’s a problem for Jews and certain others, especially in recessions -— because, you know, all Jews hoard silver and control the banks.
As I posted above, I do agree the solution is for Jews to stop being professional victims and bitch about this.
How about: work out obsesively, with plenty of mixed martial arts thrown in, organize community shooting and self-defense events, and every abled-bodied Jew pack a nice Austrian .40 semi-automatic.
I've always seen it as "yarmulke".
Anyway, how do they know he was attacked simply because he's Jewish? They didn't say anything.
because he was Jewish.
So if he was attacked because he was a Republican, or in the course of a robbery or because of A, B, C or D then it would be a lesser crime and the attacked is worthy of less attention and concern because it is not a "hate" crime. No wonder the right, our culture and country is going to hell in a hand-basket. They embrace Marxism to almost the same degree as leftist do.
These cretins should be delt with because of assault not a "hate" crime. Of course some animals are more equal then others.
No,, I think anti-Semites attacked him.
The article didn’t identify his attackers.
No need to figure out a connection, unless you can think outside the box. My statement was about not understanding folks who hate Jews.
You raise a good point. In the layers of political correctness we now must observe, apparently the punishment - if there ever is any - is doled out according to some formula defined by the amount of hatred involved in the attack.
In saner times, a punch to the jaw was a punch to the jaw.
The WEST doesn't get it that Israel is taking the hits meant for the U. S.
An Israeli I met who fought in IDF for four years shared with me that Israel is NOT fighting over real estate. He said to me that Israel is fighting for every human to be allowed to worship as he or she chooses, without fear of being bombed, beheaded, or burned to death.
I have a good friend who had similar trauma, with similar results, from slipping on the ice and hitting her head on concrete. No Hate CrimeTM was involved.
Was your injury the result of a Hate CrimeTM?
That was the point of my post: the silly Political Correctness of "Hate Crime".
Non-Hate-Crime attacks are just as painful, just as brutal and just as illegal.
A yarmaka is a head covering Jewish males wear.
Hopefully the reporter meant to say the police are seeking more information from the victim and simply used the wrong terminology.
I was injured in the classroom while teaching High School English as A Second Language (ESL) to immigrant students.
