Is Jesse Jackson Jr. naive, honest, corrupt, or vindictive?
Kansas City Star ^ | 12-18-08 | George Harris

But out of vindictiveness, did Jackson then decide to entrap Blagojevich by getting him to ask for money in exchange for giving Jackson the Illinois Senate seat? Did he intend to report the crime to Patrick Fitzgerald? Or was the price just more than Jackson could pay for the favor, and was he overheard on wiretaps arguing about the price?

If Jackson had been fully cooperating with U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald in setting up Blagojevich (and Jackson's spokesman says he wasn't), it seems unlikely that he would call a press conference to protest his innocence. More likely he would just wait for the truth to come out and reveal that he was actually aiding the law. Some bloggers have criticized Jackson for being a snitch, but surely he isn't worried about this label sticking.

So then does Jackson believe he’s going to come out looking bad even if he didn’t commit or intend to commit a crime?

My theory: JJJ didn't realize Blago was also talking to Obama's office. Now he's worried he'll be blamed if the chosen one goes down or if O's office is seriously tarnished. A black on black "crime" if you will--one that won't go over well in the African-American community.

Well, however you (or anyone for matter) would like to slice the cake, Jesse Jackson Junior will NOT get a US Senate seat.

Case closed.

From what I read, Jackson reported a complaint about Blog during Blog’s election campaign, which was advised by Rahm and ‘Bama. Then Jackson signs on as ‘Bama’s National Co-Chair.

Sort of a “You crooks! Can I join you?” scenario.

And the senior Jackson surely will be angry as hell having come so close to having his kid in the U.S. Senate.
Too bad there Jacksons. Course I wouldn’ hire either of ya to wash my car.

What? I think you need to re-think that premise. it is about as believable as Odumbo saying his office never spoke with blago about the seat.
