Lesbian Youth At High Risk For Pregnancy: UBC Study
Vancouver Sun ^ | 12/16/08 | Amy O'Brian

Lesbian and bisexual youth are up to seven times more likely to get pregnant than their heterosexual peers, a study of British Columbia students has found.

The surprising findings were published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality. The data used for the research were gathered from adolescent health surveys done in B.C. schools in 1992, 1998, and 2003.

The heightened risk is explained by several factors, including an attempt among closeted gay, lesbian and bisexual teens to prove they are heterosexual to avoid harassment and discrimination....

Lesbian in a male body a teenager would buy into that.

But there’s hope on the horizon ... all these putzes work for the dying MSM.

But think of the ramifications: Those putzes will be flipping your burgers next year.

Simple explanation for this IMO. Many sexual deviants tend to be hypersexual as well. They engage in all kinds of sexually risky behavior without thinking about the consequences. A lot of homosexual behavior on the part of teens is surrounded by confusion and uncertainty regarding their “true identity.” It doesn't surprise me one bit that TEENS (i.e. children) who are calling themselves gay are also engaging in risky heterosexual behavior. It's all part of the same package... irrational sexuality and sexual obsession, often with a history of having been sexually abused to boot.

If this is true, why don’t we just say that Bi & Gays are more carelessly promiscuous.

Hahahahaha

No, it simply means overtly libertine (bohemian) sexual attitudes are more likely to get you in trouble sexually.

This study is worth less than toilet paper.

...The surprising findings...

Megga duh! A person with a psycho-sexual disorder sleeps around. What in ten hells did they expect?

Gosh, that’s why I’m pregnant, too!

Really? Time for another row of seats in the family van?

Yes, really, but our current configuration seats 11, so we’re okay unless we have guests.

I’d limit the definition to someone who is only sexually attracted to other women.

Then that would be a very small group.

Most people won't bother, but if anyone is interested: check out the Kinsey Scale (the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid is better).

How about they were straight at first and then chose to go gay...reasons may vary why.

Baloney. It is simply that they are promiscuous. Girls on girls is a fad right now. They aren’t necessarily lesbians - just kids engaging in overt sexual behavior to prove their coolness.

This begs the question of how we define someone as a lesbian.

When I was in college, they were called LUGs. Lesbians Until Graduation. A psychologist might say something about defense mechanisms or something.

I think that it's just because the Real World is tough place to make a living. You can't just hop down to the local LGBTQ Center for a daily affirmation when someone says something mean to you. That, and basic biology is a mighty powerful instinct.

How about they were straight at first and then chose to go gay...reasons may vary why.

Liberals have given the youth excuses for all their social ills.
1. They don't have a boy friend at the moment, so to cover up their insecurity...they can claim to be a lesbian.
2. They don't have a date for the prom...they can claim they don't want one because they are a lesbian
3. etc...
4. etc...

So now, instead of building inner strength by facing their insecurities they now have all the excuses in the world.. I honestly doubt, in the next decade, there will be enough people that have the strength of character left to defend us as a nation.

That’s just silly — it simply shifts the question to why they don’t have a girlfriend or a (female) date for the prom.
