Lesbian and bisexual youth are up to seven times more likely to get pregnant than their heterosexual peers, a study of British Columbia students has found.
The surprising findings were published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality. The data used for the research were gathered from adolescent health surveys done in B.C. schools in 1992, 1998, and 2003.
The heightened risk is explained by several factors, including an attempt among closeted gay, lesbian and bisexual teens to prove they are heterosexual to avoid harassment and discrimination....

Probably this got ‘caught’ by editing and whatever wording was originally used was replaced by boilerplate PC wording “gay, lesbian, and bisexual” without any neurons firing on the part of the editor.

This begs the question of how we define someone as a lesbian. I’d limit the definition to someone who is only sexually attracted to other women. I’ve noticed that women seem to have a more fluid approach to sexuality than men (no pun intended). I’ve known women who consider themselves straight, but who have had sexual relationships with other women. I’ve also known women who consider themselves lesbians, but who have the occassional relationship with men.

Nonsense. The risk is explained by the fact that most adolescents who view themselves as homosexual actually are sexually preoccupied and confused. That they would engage in sexual activity with members of both sexes simply reflects a polymorphous perverse sexuality.

They are almost there... Teen ‘lesbians’ ranks have been swelled by a liberal agenda of normalizing the activity, coupled with the natural urge of teens to experiment with sex. Frikken DUH.
Consider it the consequences of “comparison shopping”.
I presume this is because a youth who already calls themselves lesbian or bisexual is naturally a youth who is active sexually.
BTW, I think as a matter of definition any lesbian who is pregnant by natural means should be called bisexual.
If I’m a gay guy and want to “prove” I’m not gay, I don’t think I am sleeping with a lesbian.
