Imagine if a secret service agent had jumped in front of it though, for the rest of his career all his fellow agents would introduce him to new recruits like “This is Larry, he’s a legend around here, took a Hushpuppie in the chest for Bush back in ‘08...”

He will win a Pulitzer for that. And maybe later a nod from the Nobel Prize uber liberals.

Heck, when Bush buys back the Rangers, he could use this guy on their pitching staff. He certainly throws harder than anyone the Rangers have put out there recently.

Actually I’m pretty sure that Saddam, were he still in power, would have respected the freedom of anyone to throw shoes at Bush. Saddam was a big free expression guy that way. ;-)

" I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I'd prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to."

After my initial anger at the obvious insult, and the fact that this ungrateful SOB would never ever dare throw a shoe at any MidEast leader, as evil and corrupt as they are, I have my thing to say to this miscreant:
You throw like a girl!

i even see responses saying “at least it hit the american flag” which prompted me to reply to that insidious comment.

Supposedly Bush waved off the SS. They WERE there though.

I know. I was just pointing out that the fact that he tossed the shoe does not mean they (the crowd) were not checked for weapons prior to the event.

I wish President Bush would have been allowed to stand tall with this foul jerk and got it on like two men instead of one excuse for a man throwing a shoe. Bush could have probably kicked his butt from here to kingdom come!!!

The frickin' Secret Service should HANG THEIR HEADS IN SHAME. Send them all to wherever the h*ll they don't want to go.
Some difference from the way they responded to the RR shots in DC.

I am so tired of the complete disrespect the world has for President Bush. The media has convinced everyone to hate him. The media is in complete glee reporting this.

He will win a Pulitzer for that. And for the rest of our lives, the Homeland Security Theater Troupe will make us take off our shoes at political rallies.
