This is a good example why a non-commercial, political speech site should be able to grab and post full excerpts of any online news article - its Orwellian to see news “disappear” after its done its damage or before it can do its damage - I know you fought against the copyright claims but if FReeRepublic is not a fair use then nothing is. This article just says they’re to have a meeting that afternoon. It was written before the meeting was to take place so it’s no proof of the meeting. However there was another article on Nov 6 at the same website that did tell
about the meeting.
A handful of astute Freepers captured both articles.
To be fair, nothing in their meeting implies that O knew or approved of any pay-to-play scandal; that is pure Blago.
In the end, the only stink likely to be stuck to O will be that he is from Chicago and indeed is familiar with the political cesspool that is Chicago. O knows how this game is played. He had to deal with Blago and Daley.
O is not in the game for money, as is the case with Blago. O truly wants change. O is not a cheap union goon. O wants to create the USSA.
