KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month on our website ConnectTristates.com. The story, which discussed the appointment of a replacement for President Elect Obama’in the U.S. Senate, became the subject of much discussion on talk radio and on blog sites Wednesday.
The story housed in our website archive was on the morning of November 5, 2008. It suggested that a meeting was scheduled later that day between President Elect Obama and Illinois Governor Blagojevich. KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place. Governor Blagojevich did appear at a news conference in Chicago on that date.
The price of whitewash has reached an all time high in the Chicago and DC areas. It is currently demanding $250 a barrel and is still rising. Experts fear it may top $350 by the weekend or higher if more is needed for the Sunday morning news shows.
Someone just posted on this with a screen grab.
They didn’t say that it didn’t occur, they say they have no knowledge it occurred, meaning no reporter for them actually saw it take place. I put this statement down to advice of counsel.
Either way, so much for their "journalistic integrity."
Well, this much is for certain: if Fitz has evidence against Obama, he will go after him with vigor. His prosecution of that arch villian, Scooter Libby, proves Fitz is a great, honorable prosecutor and is completely honest and unbiased./s /s /s /s
SARCASM ALERT: Fitz is actually a worthless bum and he popped the cork on the Blago case when he did to keep other dims from getting ensnarled.

If such becomes necessary, don't doubt it for a minute.

It would be hilarious if Blago suddenly had a change of heart and said, yes, there were actually several meetings and phone calls and that obama was not willing to see that Blago was paid $1 million for the Senate seat naming rights. But obama countered with $350k. Blago said he would think it over and get back to him. Sometime.

Yeah, all their reporting is credible, except for those two stories. Watch them lose some of their viewers.

They post a “clarification” of an article they published on Nov. 5, 2008, but only after they SCRUBBED the original article.
If they were honest, they would republish the so-called inaccurate article for comparison.

I passed this story along to Drudge, who posted it in the afternoon. I imagine a few freepers mentioned it.
Now I see he’s dropped that whole bunch of stories comically saying that Obama was involved/no he was not involved, and replaced it with more budget crisis stuff.
Well, I think Drudge did a lot to get people talking about this, at any rate.

That is correct.
This what the original article written on November 5th states:
“Obama met with Governor Rod Blagojevich earlier this week to discuss it. Illinois law states that the governor chooses that replacement.”
This is what the clarification states:

Sneaky little ones, aren’t they?

It sounds like the Obama-nuts are pulling up the old phrases that worked so well in times past.
Those phrases won't work today because;
1. When Clinton first took office, the World Wide Web didn't exist and people had to depend on TV for their news.
2. FreeRepublic didn't exist until 1996.
3. There was Usenet but not too many people had access to the internet except through BBS's(AOL, Compuserve, etc), at Colleges and Universities, scientific labs, military bases and government jobs.
4. The only outlets for non-MSM news was shortwave, a few local talk radio stations and FAX networks.
5. There was no text messaging, Twitter, YouTube, Google or internet radio.
Today is a different world from the Clinton era. Unfortunately there's still a lot of lamebrains who depend on the MSM for their news and they all voted for Barry.

And if I was Obama, it is that fact that would really worry me right about now. If Fitz was in cahoots with Obama, Team O's involvement with Blago would not be nearly as shadowy. As it stands, it is clear that he has a lot of ammunition to take down individuals in the next level up.
