KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month on our website ConnectTristates.com. The story, which discussed the appointment of a replacement for President Elect Obamain the U.S. Senate, became the subject of much discussion on talk radio and on blog sites Wednesday.
The story housed in our website archive was on the morning of November 5, 2008. It suggested that a meeting was scheduled later that day between President Elect Obama and Illinois Governor Blagojevich. KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place. Governor Blagojevich did appear at a news conference in Chicago on that date.
Remember the Democrat mantra: “It’s the seriousness of the charge.”
Gosh...this gets stinkier by the moment. looks like Obama’s “truth” squad is working overtime!
I’ll be looking for a new story announcing the firing of the reporter who wrote the original, retracted story, and the managing editor who allowed it to be posted on the station website.
Any time now, I’m sure. Accuracy Uber Alles, after all.
That’s right, election day was the prior day, but it’s still pretty funny, in a weird kind of way.
Having lived in a city with a left-supporting newspaper since the days of Alger Hiss, I don’t place too much faith in what has been preserved on paper. Or in ‘documentary’ film. Everything is subjective.
What the editors choose to print defines the end result.
BOR played the Axelrod video just a few minutes ago.
You’re welcome, CDB! Had done that earlier today before sending it to Rush, Sean, Drudge, etc...not because I had any idea that the site would pull them...
Uh huh. Articles announcing that a meeting was scheduled and the subsequently confirming that it took place turn out to be phony all the time.
I would think the media coverage of Palin would have made that clear.
No comparison. Nothing about the meeting articles were sensationalistic or agenda driven.
Did anyone attempt to verify the info with the source before posting this all over the place?
Every time I saw it posted, it was sourced and linked. Of course, the links don't work anymore since they went into the Memory Hole.
Do you remember Hillary Clinton holding up the headline Bush Knew on the Senate floor while demanding an investigation into 9/11? Can you google a transcript or an image of it? I saw it. It was the day that I saw what she really was. I was disgusted at the time. As if her and Bill’s 8 years with the Oklahoma bombing and first WTC attack had never happened. But then, we heard about Gorelick’s wall and Sandy’s sock theft of documents, and that’s when this independent became a republican and disgust turned into hatred. I will never vote democrat again.
Obama's rise in politics is a result of the following:1) Obama challenged qualifying signatures on all his Illinois State Senate Democrat primary opponents' applications (see Alice Palmer), running unopposed,
2) Obama had sealed divorce records of his Democrat primary opponent Blair Hull exposed, revealing accusations of wife-beating and forcing Hull out of the primary,
3) Obama had sealed divorce records of his Republican opponent Jack Ryan exposed, revealing accusations of wanting to perform public sex acts and forcing Ryan out of the general election.
4) Obama claims his legislative records in Illinois were not archived, and presumably destroyed, leaving no paper trail of his past government experience. (See last paragraph of article)
It seems that Obama can't win without legal technicalities or by destroying his opponent by exposing sealed private records.

“Good grief! What next? Fitz loses the recordings?
LOL!”

Wouldn’t surprise me one bit!
Sadly, me either.
Did Obama’s chief of staff make up the Obama board appointments for the gov’s wife?
You didn't see it because it was purged just like this was. If you didn't catch it at the time, it's gone.
