It looks like he’s trying to tie the past Rezko subpoenas in with the current news of the Governor’s arrest. It’s only a matter of time before the folks in Obama’s hood start turning on each other. For Drudge to stay red on the story he must have some more info.

So far as I can see what is new and “breaking” is that Gov. Blagojevich and his CofS were arrested this morning. The headline about Grand Jury subpoenas for the land deal seems to be 2 years old??

Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff, John Harris, were arrested by FBI agents on federal corruption charges Tuesday morning.
Blagojevich and Harris were arrested simultaneously at their homes at about 6:15 a.m., according to Frank Bochte of the FBI. Both were transported to FBI headquarters in Chicago.

Unless a Special Prosecutor has been named to investigate the corruption in Illinois. They have a lot of leeway to take the investigation where it leads and the next President can’t make them go away.

Thanks for the ping! It provided a little excitement, but it looks as if the Obama connection basically was made by Drudge, not Fitz.
There IS a connection, of course, but it’s not at all clear that Fitz will pursue it. And Drudge has modified his headline to change the focus from Obama to Blagojevitch.
