Oh I just LOVE that picture of President Bush being hugged by all those little arms! The red fingernail polish on one of those hands is so cute!
I’m so glad to hear the better news about your Dad!
daisyscarlett: WOW — these photos showcase beautifully the caring, playful heart of our beloved President . . . Oh how I am going to miss this man (and his beautiful bride)!!

PRESIDENT AND MRS. BUSH HOST CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY RECEPTION AND PERFORMANCE
Watch the video here — the last song is particularly wonderful (especially when the President joins in):

VIDEO: THE AWKWARDEST KISS
Actually, the kiss between Babs and President Bush wasn’t awkward at all. Why? Because the President is the epitomy of class and graciousness (and all of Babs idiocy seems so ‘small’ by comparison):

UNEMPLOYMENT NEARLY AS BAD AS DURING CLINTON
Monday, December 08, 2008
By Dan Gainor
When the media arent talking about the bailout, theyre talking jobs. They should be. Job losses and unemployment are up. A year into what we just heard is an official recession, unemployment hit 6.7 percent. Thats the highest for the Bush presidency. At this rate, it will soon get as bad as it was in 1993 when Bill Clinton was president.
Reporters are leaving out that reality of the staggering job losses, as CBS called them. Journalists rarely point out that total unemployment isnt even as high as it was during Clintons term (and when they do, the Clinton name is conspicuously absent.)

President Bush will give a special speech tomorrow at WEST POINT [It’s not yet part of the CSpan schedule; we can only hope they can break away from Obama/Pelosi/Reid long enough to cover the ACTUAL President of the United States!]
I noticed right away that most of the “recipients” of the honors didn’t hold their hands over THEIR hearts! They don’t respect
anything about our great country!
This progress with food is WONDERFUL! My Mom just never cared to eat...she tried, but you could clearly tell she wasn't interested, only trying to do the right thing. This sounds like Dad is actually enjoying eating.
I'm soooo happy to read this, snugs!!!!!!
Keep up the fine work...sounds like it's paying off!!!! Go Dad Go! We're all behind you.
Yeah...they are who they are...no foolin’ anyone anymore. WHICH is probably about the best thing about all this happening right now...at least they are being exposed for who and what they are....FINALLY. Now, if we can only get a majority in this nation to listen/see. ;-/
Nord...I have gotten the idea that we ARE the only ones who care!
The world seems to be apathetic to patriotism and heroism (especially
of our troops or our current administration). It makes me
very sad and a little scared, too!
The update on Bryan sounded very good to me, also. I hope snugs can stop by here soon. I miss her! And I know she would love to see the photos of the Cheney’s all dressed up for the Kennedy Center gala.
I missed that! Thanks for pointing it out..very cute.
You’re welcome. Thanks for your post.
I will look forward to the President’s speech at West Point tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.
Oh, pooh...I didn’t! I had gone to see our son, DIL and little
granddaughter and didn’t get on-line as much as normal.
I’ll have to scroll back through my pings and find it! Thanks
for letting me know, though!...and thanks for all your hard
work!
