According to The Schnitt Show, a radio program available in several Florida markets and XM radio, a birth announcement for Barack Obama was discovered in a 1961 Honolulu newspaper. See link for a PDF image of this announcement.
Yeah. It’s silly that Obama has arranged for his birth certificate to be censored by the State of Hawaii, only so that it can be released at a later date to make conservatives look stupid.
McCain released his immediately when the question came up.
I could have worded my comment better. I am fully supportive of a constitutional ruling against Obama if he does not PROVE himself.
I know all you wrote, have been reading it for months.
Sorry, I don’t have links, but I have read it multiple times in several articles/comments on FR & elsewhere (HERESY!) in postings about the COLB.

It’s a phony birth certificate. The real one was issued by the county, doctor or hospital of birth. Wherever that was and under the protocol practiced there. I choose to call the official authentic certified birth certificate issued by Hawaii a phony. It’s you who doesn’t get it.

I’d appreciate if someone could walk me through briefly where she is wrong.
There are two issues:
1) the COLB, which she says, Obama has ALREADY produced is indeed valid.
2) the contemporaneous announcement of his birth in a Hawaii newspaper.
I thought both of these “facts” had already been taken down by those more knowlegable about this issue.
I appreciate any input.
I'm STILL waiting to see how that was done. STILL waiting to see the steps used with Photoshop to "prove" the forgery. STILL waiting for anything other than some third hand vague information. STILL waiting! I remain unconvinced of this "forgery" until I see something other than someone repeating that it has been "proven a forgery".

I already slogged through that once and it doesn’t prove a thing. Just talks about how to forge a COLB. Doesn’t prove that it was forged.

If you consider the fancy address of this announcement, an address at which none of the parties involved had ever resided, the answer involves pride and status seeking. If you consider that this announcement stated in no uncertain terms that BHO, Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham were married, when the reality is quite a bit hazier than that, you see a concern over bourgeois convention. Stanley Ann Dunham never exhibited these traits, she railed against them. Her parents, both of whom apparently were involved in radical politics themselves, were of another, earlier generation, and would still exhibit those traits. So, regardless of whether Barack Hussein Obama II was born in Hawaii, or elsewhere, this announcement bears the imprint of his grandparents.
I honestly am beginning to think that Stanley Ann Dunham's pregnancy, and the fact that the child was biracial, was known to them before they ever up and moved to Hawaii. Where, in all of the United States in that era, could a biracial child face less stigma, than Hawaii? They clearly intended to do right by their first grandchild, their warped politics aside.

Anyway, I've got work to do for my day job -- which comes first, second, third, and on to the ntih degree -- so I'm out of pocket until Tuesday, and even for posting this little bon mot, I'm gonna get bitch-slapped for it.

Several good FReepers accept this at face value, and become quite defensive if it's challenged. They are supported by a veritable army of n00bs who delight in yelling "TROLL!!!" whenever anyone expresses incredulity. The thing that disturbs me most, is that an authentic Hawaiian COLB is insufficient proof for the purpose of establishing natural born citizenship.
This whole thing was a deliberate circus sideshow, IMHO, designed to sidetrack the much-vaunted FReepers of Rathergate fame, or infamy to those who opposed the effort. Even if the thing is fake, it proves nothing, and changes nothing, as far as Barack Hussein Obama II taking office and becoming President on January 20, 2009.
There are larger facts that are more damning of Obama, staring us in the face, IMHO. Those break-ins, early in the year, involving passport records, spring to mind. The concealing of all records that might disclose nationality screams deception. There's plenty to hang your hat on, without going all cloak and dagger.

idiots will scream that these are fakes, that they are part of this grand conspiracy by Obama’s parents to smuggle a newborn baby from Kenya into Honolulu to obtain a birth certificate and birth announcements. But what is lacking in their story is MOTIVE. It’s not like Obama’s parents knew back then that Barack would go into politics, and need to be “Natural Born.” Why bother with such a deception, which includes a very risky flight half way around the world with a newborn baby. Under US law, Barack is a US citizen no matter where he was born because his mother was an American citizen, born and raised in Kansas. The question of location is only relevant to the “Natural Born” requirement to be President. Barack’s parents could not have known at the time of his birth that this would be an issue.
There was an exception that applied in 1961 to some foreign births of babies to American parents, but it does not apply to Obama’s birth. The law stated that if at least one of the parents had been a US citizen AND resident for at least 10 years, at least five of which years with the parent above the age of 14, then the parent was empowered to bequeath US citizenship to her baby. But Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, was only 18 years old when Obama was born, so she was not empowered to transmit US citizenship to Obama.
If Obama was born in Kenya the law’s of 1961 would not grant him citizenship.
Ann Dunham had a motive to register him as a US citizen at birth.
