The law reads:

Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock: A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.

Thats not the problem. The problem is that Obama has constructed an entirely fictional life by writing a couple of books. That fiction MUST be maintained until after the inauguration , in order to complete a coup against the Constitution of the United States. With control of Congress, Obama is unlikely to be impeached after he becomes president.

As to whether a bastard can take a single moms citizenship depends on a number of factors:

1) What the US citizenship law was in 1961

2)The age of the mother( if a minor, can't pass on any citizenship)

3) place of birth So if you know this information as to fact, you would have an answer. No one seems to know for sure at this point although a number of arguments have been made.

Yes. In the same way the Kenyan father passed his Kenyan citizenship onto Obama.

Divided loyalties. Obama is a citizen, but not a "natural born citizen."
