The polls close in ten minutes. Hopefully Georgia has held the line today. Poll traffic was reported as steady here Northeast Atlanta today...
The runoff wouldn’t be necessary if last month
the Third Party Loon would have put his country first.
11/08
Republican: Chambliss % 49.75
Democrat: Martin % 46.83
Third Party Loon % 3.41
Thus Chambliss did’t get the 50%+ to win
Great he won tonight to keep the Republicans in play in the Senate.
I am just shocked that anyone likes Jim Martin, they interviewed him yesterday and it was my first time seeing him, the guy’s a schmuck
A big chunk of Martin votes just came in — Chambliss now under 60% at 59.1%, 82% total reporting.
Absolutely. You can take that to the bank and everyone needs to wise up to the tactics of the RATS.
A big chunk of DeKalb just came in.
Don’t kid yourself, Coleman is a National Security Republican and a RINO on most other things.
Great job by Sarah Palin, and the rest of the folks who put in the work for Chambliss, but he had better keep in mind, this never should have come down to a run off in the first place..he’s been warned as it were.
I was lucky enough to attend one of Sarah’s “Saxby” rallies. People were still nuts for her, and every “good ol’ boy” politician on that stage knew it. They may be a lot of things we do not care for, but these fellas are not stupid, and good, bad or indifferent, they will go where the votes are...
Thank the Lord, right now, the votes are going with Sarah.
Tatt
Its tightened a bit but according to the SoS site, that’s because most of DeKalb County just reported — about 84 percent of it is in now, and Martin won by about 3-1 over Chambliss.
See, I don't think the good Senator is going to feel that a 60-40 whacking of his opponent is whatcha call "close"...
Chambliss (R) - 58.8% (996,903)
Martin (D) - 41.2% (698,393)
298,000 lead.
You and me both.
Yeah, I mean, calling Reagan by the nickname “Ronnie” or “The Gipper” really hurt him. [/sarc]
You do what you want. I’ll do what I want so save the lecture. :-)
I am absolutely convinced that they took the confiscated voting machines (no one did any prison time for the theft, go figure) and lined up the ballots, then pushed a nail through the "Al Gore" hole. All of the Al Gore votes were unaffected, but all of the Bush and Buchanan votes had two holes, thus nullified.
This is the only plausible explanation for "hanging chads." They were the ballots at the bottom of the stack which were "pooched" but not punched. Any other explanation and IBM would have been out of business 40 years ago, when all computing was done with punch cards.
Shit.
Looks like a big victory over the Clinton/Obama supported Dem. Great news.
Chambliss vote total over a million now with 83% in, 58.9% to 41.1%
You’ve got it exactly right. It was a huge case of voter fraud and our side has allowed the RATS to claim that the election was stolen from them when the fact is they were the ones commiting fraud.
Oh I know, I was thinking of Snowe, etc.
There a lot of people angry at any Republican, and just a lot of Yellow dog democrats. My grandmother, after being told the truth about Obama still voted a straight Dem. ticket, like she has her whole life, God bless her soul. And my Dad must had a mini-midlife crisis because he (and caroused my mom and tried to get me) to vote Obama. He’s proud of it!
Plus with the commercials they have been playing about Saxby (bailout support and taxing the middle class) people who are caring about there money right now might just be tempted to vote. All Saxby really has against him other than the trying to raise property taxes 150% is the not voting for some prostituting children law that I can’t remember (this is all just from the commercials btw that were playing constantly on local Tv, so this would a typical voter would see)
