Although the programme was on Radio 1, pictures were also relayed to online listeners via a webcam.
And while Barrowman's genitalia were not actually shown, the crude comments which accompanied the incident made it clear what had happened.
(edit)
Grimshaw said: 'You're famous, we're told, for getting your willy out in interviews. Is this going to happen today? Should Annie be careful?'
Barrowman asked: 'Is the webcam on?' When told it was, he declared: 'All right, I'll get it out for you then, no problem.' The webcam had been swiftly covered up but listeners heard Annie Mac screaming: 'Oh my God!' as the other two were heard laughing.
(edit)
The Scottish-American actor, whose early TV career was as a children's presenter on Live And Kicking, said the 'light-hearted' banter went too far - and promised it would never happen again.
(edit)
He is openly gay and in 2006 'married' long-term partner Scott Gill in a civil ceremony. Since then he has appeared determined to seek notoriety.
In June 2007 he gave an interview saying his boyfriend became 'turned on' by the thought of Barrowman being with a woman.
By early this year, he was boasting that he regularly flashes his bottom, often at his own family 'as they drive off in the car'.
His Torchwood co-star Freema Agyeman then revealed that the actor commonly walked around the set with his 'chap hanging out'.
And Barrowman added that he had once soiled himself on stage and kicked faeces into the audience.

Barrowman is talented and too ambitious for his own good sometimes. Many Brits dislike him because of his American accent. He has made a bit too much of his homosexuality in his bid for stardom in the UK, though. Shame, really. It was nice seeing a celebrity with a bit of a sense of humor. So many of them take themselves SO seriously...

I have been renting episodes of Torchwood from Netflix and have enjoyed them (for the most part). He is a talented actor.

Awesome! I never got into ‘Who’ when it was shown on PBS. I thought it was a bit ‘low budge’.....(I’m so sorry, followers). But I had a few friends who loved it and it seemed to have attracted a ‘cult following’ in the US. I HAVE, now, grown to appreciate it, since my husband and boys love it. It beats anything shown on TV these days, for sure.

He’s used to sticking it anywhere and everywhere, so why should it be a surprise when he whips it out at the most inappropriate moments? He’s only sorry he didn’t wait until he was being presented to the Queen.....
[never heard of the guy before, so I really don’t know anything about him except that he seems to be obsessed with his own private parts]

I always wonder why people like him think anyone else is terribly interested in his “willy”? I feel certain it’s nothing special.

With David Tennant leaving Doctor Who, there is talk of the BBC casting a black actor as the 11th Doctor in honor of Obama.

Perhaps, in which case I suppose Im not the target audience! You most definitely are not, except as an object to ridicule and make uncomfortable as evidenced by 'his' desire to do what he did not only in front of at least one woman in the studio but possibly millions online and on air.
The constant, ugly nudity at 'gay' pride events is further witness to this psychosis.

I’m afraid my reaction, should he have exposed his little willy to me, would have been derisive laughter.

Im afraid my reaction, should he have exposed his little willy to me, would have been derisive laughter."Madam, are you having trouble with your garment?" might have been a thought but considering that you're dealing with someone who hates women he might be moved to physically harm you if you were to say something like that.
My father was a policeman and homicide photographer in Germany, and he told me that the most violent, bloody and unspeakably gory murder scenes he encountered, by far, were those involving homosexual 'couples'.
They aren't wired too tight, which is another reason why so many go into acting....they are oftentimes confused and unhappy about themselves and so it's natural for them to want to pretend to be someone else.
